I wonder what kind of packaging they have been using? The article says that they will resume deliveries once they get new packaging. The pharmacy that I use sends out the pens in Woolcool insulation with two icepacks via next day delivery. So far, every delivery has been with the icepacks still very frozen.

It would be interesting to know from anyone who regularly uses Boots what packaging they currently use.

I had a delivery last week in the heatwave which arrived well packaged and still frozen so it sounds like Boots are concerned they don't have the packaging right for their deliveries. At least they are doing something about it now but doesn't really inspire confidence in them. Not that I've used them, far too expensive.

This seems a packing issue, I also had a delivery this week, it was overnight, and came about lunch time, ice packs still frozen

I know some providers only normally put one ice pack in their packaging and are doubling up next week.

In 2 years I have been getting deliveries it is a small minority that has arrived with ice blocks still frozen, always in winter months. Maybe it was a provider issue 🤔. I have switched to Swift Doctor and their 2 deliveries so far were frozen in spring, but I'm on an order break over summer to use up stock pile.

Perhaps Boots has some issues with getting enough ice or cost/resources has driven their decision.

No experience with Boots but my dogs medication gets delivered it has two ice packs and is then wrapped in insulating wool. I have never had any sign of anything melting. Sounds like they need to look at their packaging in general.
