Thread for those in maintenance post WLI

I've scrolled but couldn't find a thread specifically for those who are in maintenance and off MJ/other WLI or coming off very imminently? I found a maintainers thread but it seems like most people were continuing long term. Anyway, so if I've missed such an active thread, I apologise!

I was hoping to have a thread going for support and ongoing experiences of those of us who want to try without the medication, for whatever reasons. I've got a little bit left of 1 pen to do 2.5mg weekly in August and then I'll be off in September.

I'll put my stats below and hopefully this will help with accountability!

Starting Weight: 18st 11 (BMI42)
Maintenance Weight: 9-9½ st (BMI20-21)
Method: calorie counting, daily weighing
(Weight loss was achieved from Dec 2024-Feb 2026 in the end with many, many changing targets along the way lol!)

I'm fully aware of regain statistics so hoping to keep the thread to for those giving it a go and wanting to support one another.

Posting on this thread to see if it picks up

I came off MJ at a weight of 10s7 down from 13s. Took me a long time even with MJ.

However, I have gone up to 10s12 in the 4 weeks post MJ (had an abroad holiday during that time and shot up to 11stone so most gain is from then as since coming back I haven’t gained and have lost 2 lbs to get to 10s12)

My goal is 10stone so 12 lbs to go. I’m not finding food noise as hard anymore in general which is nice, I know how to deal with this now, however the issue is bloating and all my work being undone when I’m due on! especially with sweets.

I suffer with PMDD so eat ravenously during the week leading up to my period.

Hoping I can get firmer with myself whilst being realistic that I can’t cut all treats out as this never works. really want to get to 10stone during trying to conceive over this next few months so I can be in better position post pregnancy than I was the first time round!

@TrinityWaves HI!! I recognise you from the Dec 24 group and I will be here virtually cheering you on! I am still nowhere near maintenance and plan to maintain at still overweight but that to me is still amazing rather than pushing 20 stone!

Wishing you all success with your maintenance xx

I think having a plan for maintenance is really important when coming off MJ. Keeping an eye on your routine, meals and weight can help you spot changes early. I’d also keep your prescriber in the loop, especially if you notice your appetite or weight changing significantly

Thanks for the link to other thread, it was quite busy for a while but not in the past couple of months, I would love to know more updates :)

Hi SmallHouseEnergy - your experience is very helpful. I'm sure you'll get the 12 lb off. I hope this thread can be a support to that. Great that the food noise is under control. I get major carb craving when I'm due, even on higher doses of MJ didn't remove that.

Hello Julesni77, I absolutely recognise your UN. You have done absolutely incredible and just being overweight was awesome for me and the figure I had dreamed of for years.

Thanks ElaraWillowMontrose, I weigh daily so hope to catch any gains quickly! Have you come off MJ? I haven't ordered since Aug 2025 so I don't have a prescriber, I've just been using up my stash and knowing it's available at a BMI of 25 now is reassuring.
