Swapping from Mounjaro to Wegovy tablets. Anyone else? Or you might just want to see how it goes for me.

Right, haven’t lost any weight since December 25. Been on Mounjaro since the beginning (so April 24) and lost 4 stone. In the last few months despite going up to 15 I’ve even gained about 7 pounds (I’ve never hit an healthy BMI- missed it by a few pounds) and it makes me feel dreadful for the first two days every week. Even the thought of injecting makes me nauseous now so I got in touch with my supplier (Asda) and we’ve decided to try the tablets.
Asda have made me go to the lowest dose which actually I’m ok with as it cost £99 I think. Bargain in comparison.
Realistically I think I’m waiting for Reta to launch in uk but willing to give it a go.
Today is my first day!

Took first tablet this morning. I’m an early riser so that’s fine. Never very hungry until about 9/10 so don’t mind waiting for food. It tastes very disgusting considering I swallowed the tiny pill very quickly. Couldn’t eat all of lunch but that might just be me thinking about it. Had a small dinner and a frozen margarita with a friend (im
just living my life- barely drink anymore) I don’t feel hungry but there is no nausea at all right now so that’s a lovely change. I think I could eat if my emotional state was struggling. First day good.

What was your starting weight and current weight now? I think if you only lost 4 stones after 20 months and still not got within a healthy bmi, then something’s not working right.

Maybe the Wegovy pill will work better for you, assuming you’ve already changed your diet habits and ate really healthily on the MJ, focussing on protein and fibre and ditching excess carbs.

Please update over the coming months. Mounjaro has worked very well for me but I'm very keen to learn more about switching from Mounjaro to the Wegovy pill purely for cost.

Good luck.

Ah I had a look for another thread but hadn’t seen that one thanks. I will update here, maybe once a week. Second day and still feel fine. I have managed to slightly overeat but feel stuffed and know I won’t be able to eat now for the rest of the day. I’ve got some emotional eating thing going on right now.

Me! Today is the second day of the 9mg pill from 7.5mg MJ.

I have lost about two stone in 6 months, so a relatively slow loser. My BMI is now 24.5. This is my typical low-diet weight and it’s fine. I could lose another 10lbs but I think I need the fat in my face. So I was going to transition to a maintaince dose anyway.

I swapped for cost, because I travel a lot and keeping the pen cool this summer has been tricky, and because my energy and mood have been low. I want my energy back. I struggled to exercise on MJ. I struggled to care. I have always been a keen exerciser - and the MJ flatness just never lifted for me. I love not thinking about food all the time, and hope this works.

Little update, these are terrible so far (2 weeks) my eating is out of control again, I’ve put on 6 pounds since I started - obviously some water but still! Think I will stop tomorrow and let it out of my system to go back on mj. It makes me feel yuck but at least it keeps me stable. Glad the intro price was low for this. Waste of my time.

Oh no what a nightmare? I am starting the same thing next week after 2 years of Mj. What dose did you end up on?

Are the tablets small and easy to swallow?
Are they chalky or shiny?
Hope you have better success going back to thr injections.
