Should I move up dose on MJ?

I did one pen on 2.5. Just about to finish my 3rd 5. Working well but I’m starting to notice less suppression by day 4/5 after jab. Previously I only noticed a change the day before jab day. The thing is I have less than a stone left to lose so is it worth moving up to 7.5 or should I stick with 5. Happy with slow and steady. I only really noticed side effects when I started and then when I moved up a dose for the first couple of weeks. So hesitant as don’t want the side effects again. Hoping to drop down to 2.5 to maintain.

If you're still losing weight at a steady pace then you don't need to move up, if you are ok with managing the lower suppression towards the end of the week.

You could consider getting a 7.5mg pen and then taking 5mg from it, which gives you the option to move to 7.5mg (or an in-between dose) early if you realise you need to.

Another option is to jab every 6 days rather than 7.

I’ve been doing this since April and it works for me as I’m still losing steadily on a low dose. I write it in my phone calendar and set a reminder so I don’t forget when jab day is.

You could stick to a 5mg pen but inject every 5 or 6 days instead of 7.

I stalled between May and beginning of July. I didn't want to go up a dose so I've jabbed 5mg every 5 days for the last 2 weeks and have lost 5lb. And suppression is back.

Thanks for the replies. I’m not sure about jabbing on different days as I like the routine of Thursday, with max suppression over the weekend. Think I’ll carry on with 5. Hoping to be at goal by sept so plenty of time.

If 5mg is still working and you're happy with steady progress, I'd stick with it for now. shemed with Mounjaro helped me see that moving up isn't always needed if you're still losing weight. You can always review it later with your prescriber.
