Accepting a compliment

We had a family birthday party at the weekend and I got a fair few compliments on my shape change.

Instead of belittling it and saying 'couple more stone to go', 'nearly there' or 'now to keep it up'

I just said thank you and enjoyed the feeling.... not something I'm good at

Excellent response. Lovely that people are noticing.

Good response! Thank you for noticing is my go to. People comment on me and my body a lot now, I’ve gotten used to it.

Good for you. I used to brush compliments off as well, but after losing weight I realised it was okay to simply say thank you. It took a while for my confidence to catch up, but accepting the compliment felt like recognizing all the effort I'd put in
