Hi everyone,

I tried mounjaro and Wegovy at different times last year and experienced absolutely dreadful sulphur burps and bad digestive issues both times on the lowest dose after the 4th injection.

I tried every single remedy and piece of advice but nothing worked. I had an endoscopy a couple of months ago for suspected coeliac disease (still waiting for my biopsy results) and they found gastritis while there so I’ve been taking omeprazole for that and have seen a huge improvement in the excessive burping I was experiencing after eating (thankfully not sulphur burps).

Has anyone had success trying again after getting gastritis or reflux symptoms under control? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who had similar side effects at first but later managed to tolerate the jabs after treating an underlying stomach issue.

I was on MJ for around 5 months, had an 8 week break then started again and the sulphur burps I experienced were off the scale! I was on the plane and couldn't keep them in, people complained about an awful smell. It was horrific, I spent a lot of time in the toilet on the flight! So, I know how you feel.

Prior to stopping I never, ever had any symptoms (apart from constipation, but I also have IBS so am used to it, sorry TMI).

I was terrified to start again because of the burps!
I have acid reflux issues and take a high dose of Omeprazol.

What helped me:
taking chai seeds (around 3 teaspoons in water daily) eating more fibre in general.

Clean food no junk and lots of water, small meals, protein based with small amounts of carbs. I found eating larger, fatty or junk foods made me really bad with acid reflux and burbs.

I am ok now and on 10mg, no real issues
