A question for those in maintenance - your weight range?

This is more out of curiosity as I'm in maintenance myself. How much of a range are you maintaining at?

I started at 18st 11. After a few targets I settled on a final target of 10st, I reverse dieted for a couple of months and dropped a little more. I've been maintaining for 4 months at 9/9½st ish. 9½ is the absolute tolerance, so I'd be back on diet calories if I hit above that.
My weight can vary a lot, I weigh in the morning before food and Friday to Saturday I was 4lb heavier (this was in the morning again, I don't mean weighing yourself right at the end of the day when you've got the weight of the day's food/drink inside you are and are 3-4lb heavier from that alone!). Obviously, nobody is gaining 4lb of fat in 24hrs so I've taken to weighing each day and then at the end of the month I take an average and compare it to the month before.
I'm currently on 2.5mg with a view to coming off in a couple of months.

Given myself 7lb. So between 10 and half and 11 stone. My weight fluctuations by 4 or 5lb so as long as im under 11 stone im happy. . Im up to 10.12 today so will rain it in over next few days ,
Summer, bbq, pub lunch and wine has done it so I know to eat healthier for a bit. Life..

The heatwave can have huge impact on anyone weight. It's to do with water in the cells and blood vessels which causes lots of water retention.

I’m trying to gain muscle in the gym so I feel that a strict weight limit is counter intuitive! I’m aiming to stay around 18% per body fat scales. BMI is around 23.5.

I had no idea when I got to maintenance what I wanted to do. Initially it was just stay below BMI 25 (I know BMI is flawed). It has tracked mostly below it with just following usual routines so a couple of months later I put in ranges I am comfortable with to monitor any creep upwards.

If it goes up to the higher end again I am just a bit more careful about excessive treats/snacking that might have slipped in.

My lowest weight was 8st 9.7lbs 55.2kg bmi 21.8 which was back in March, today I'm 8st 9.9lbs 55.3kg bmi 21.9 but in that time I've gone upto 8st 12.8lbs 56.9kg when I was on my period, super bloated, craving lots of carbs etc
I think 3lbs gain is my limit before I would take action and try to correct through diet, tracking food, reducing carbs etc last week I've had a cold, so lower appetite just having meals and not much snacking so that's probably why I'm back down to my lowest.
This heat is definitely affecting weight, my friend gained 3lbs this week and she's been out sunbathing but I have stayed at work or in the house due to being unwell.

@morbidcuriosity you've got a similar method to me - 1/2 a stone to allow for those fluctuations but a cut off point to take action!
@Mumof1andacat I hadn't considered the heat may have caused the 4 lb overnight! A couple of lb have dropped off that already.
@MeridaBrave I think that's a great way to monitor progress!
@WeAllHaveWings I have similar fluctuations to your graph so it's helpful to see other people's data. I think ultimately we all have to have a maximum weight/BMI/measurement that we take small steps to get slightly below otherwise I could see the weight creeping back on (for myself).
@Mysticmaiden that sounds a sensible approach and I hope you're feeling better. The heat may well explain my gain!

I'm not even bothering to weigh myself that much these days but seems to be within about 1.5-2kg. No plans to come off, so I'm probably more relaxed than someone who doesn't intend to stay on indefinitely.

Like the pp, I'd assume heatwave might do weird things. I didn't weigh myself last week though.

Incognitoburrito88 · Yesterday 21:01

My original goal was 10st 7lb but as I was starting to maintain I kept losing so my lowest weight was 9st 12. My zone of tolerance is between 10st and 10st 7lb. My weight fluctuates quite a bit but if I get up to 10st 4lb I start worrying! I’m happiest at 10st. I weigh daily but try to treat the daily figures as information only and I look at my weekly average as the only thing that matters. I’m on 1.25 mg at the moment.
