Has anyone taken the step to order the tablets and wish to share their journey?

Constipation has set in. What do people
do to combat that? Never been a problem in my life!

I’m having all bran for breakfast and fruit for lunch, plus loads of water.

YetAnotherAlias62 · 03/08/2026 10:57

Like a few people here, any positive effects I thought I was feeling early on (less hungry, more able to resist boredom eating etc.) seem to have disappeared.
I'm guessing that my body has adjusted to this very low starting dose.
So I've decided that when the 4mg ones arrive (hopefully in a day or so), I'll take two 1.5mg a day until they run out then move to the 4mg tablets.
Fingers crossed I lose more on the 4mg dose as I've only lost 2 lbs so far....

Is there any point in taking 2 x 1.5mg tablets a day?

Won't you run out then? And they won't issue 4mg tablets early?
Or have misunderstood?

@YetAnotherAlias62 it makes sense to do this but is it considered "OK" to do or, do you know anyone who has done this?

I was considering this because I can order the 4mg now with over a weeks worth of 1.5mg left

pouletvous · 03/08/2026 18:57

Im on day 9 and the appetite suppression has really kicked in now. I had a small breakfast and a snack at 4pm although struggled to eat at all

hurrah! I may lose some weight at last

24HoursFromTulseHill · 04/08/2026 06:57

Day 28 and I've lost 4kg exactly.

I'm staying on 1.5mg for month 2 as I'm loosing over 0.5kg a week, which was the slowest rate I achieved on will power alone.

No side effects but I'm probably feeling hunger a bit more than when I first started on the pills.

I'll see how month 2 goes and consider going up to 4mg if my weight loss rate drops to under 0.5kg a week or if the hunger pangs get too strong.

Clothes feel a bit looser and I can see a bit more of my shape in the mirror as my tummy's gone down a bit. I didn't take a waist measurement to start with but think I might do that now as a reference point.

Imnotperfecteither · 04/08/2026 08:39

Starting 4mg next week - has anyone found a big difference from 1.5mg to 4mg side effect wise?

had nothing on 1.5 and lost 6kg, so hope that continues x

I see it like I'm just adding another step up, going from 1.5mg to 3mg then 4mg
The new ones are due to arrive today so I'll decide tomorrow morning.
Ironically, having posted that yesterday, I weighed myself today and I've lost 2lbs in the last week so am happy with the loss even if I don't feel like the 1.5mg is doing much....

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 04/08/2026 18:31

My 4mg arrived today. I only have 2 doses of the 1.5 left and I’m going away on Friday - Tuesday. I don’t know whether to take the 1.5 on Weds and Thurs and then wait until weds morning for the 4mg dose, so I’m not ill over the weekend. Or I just start the 4 tomorrow and see how I am Weds and Thurs?!

user1468915974 · 04/08/2026 21:41

Im going to order the 4mg this week and start taking 2x 1.5mg pills to build up.

Ive had a full 9" pizza tonight and could've quite happily eaten fries too.

Im just finding that I feel a bit full for about an hour but I can easily overcome that with the right temptation.

1.5mg has barely done anything for me... apart from blow a £70 hole in my purse.

Laska2Meryls · 05/08/2026 08:53

I have lost 7lbs on the first month of 1.5mg really happy with that, have onemore to take then I have 4mg to start. I probably would have lost more if I had cut out the 2 glasses of white wine with dinner, but I wasn't holiday two of those week so that's my excuse ( I intend to knock that on the head now though) . Otherwise I have eaten quite low carb. mostly salads and a lot of fish . Hardly any bread but have had new potatoes.
No side effects so far. Im really pleased with this as a result on what is supposed to only be the starter dose so looking forward to going ahead. I have at least 2 stone to lose to get me back to top end normal bmi.

I have found that on the 1.5mg I am not hungry until late afternoon but cant leave my dinnertime any later than 6pm now

Have been eating eggs for breakfast ,- no bread and sometimes a handful of strawberries or blueberries and a couple of tablespoons of f/f greek yoghurt at lunchtime, ( but most days I have not needed a lunch )

3smallpups · 05/08/2026 09:00

Really felt the benefits last night! Went to a wedding reception with the promise of pizza at 8pm. Didn’t t want to sabotage my weight loss so had a protein shake breakfast and a wrap for lunch, about 400 calories all in. Pizza didn’t get cooked till about 9.45 and then was brought out on platters passed round so basically it was 1/6 th of a small artisan type pizza. Normally my stomach would have been eating itself and chips on the way home would have been needed. But it was fine, I wasn’t hungry, had four rich tea biscuits when I got home, with a cup of tea.
felt really nauseous this morning though, I think as I had nt eaten enough yesterday, so skipped
the tablet. Taking it when I felt ill seemed a bit daft .i have missed a day about ten days in, as I forgot, and it was fine.

RhubarbAndMustard · 05/08/2026 17:01

Joining this thread and am finding the comments really useful.

I’ve done 3 weeks at 1.5mg and now 3 days into 4mg (able to start early as didn’t start straight away when I ordered). I’ve lost 2lbs..like a lot of you it started well but then stalled and I’m just hoping the higher dose helps.

Minimal side effects really..nausea, tiredness but otherwise fine. I do find the tablet almost burns my throat as it goes down though. Does anyone else have this?

My portion sizes are smaller, I don’t need to snack and I struggle to drink alcohol so definitely feel like it’s working, but my scales are being stubborn.

Im writing my weight on the box when I start each one so I’ve got a record as I change doses.

socks1107 · 05/08/2026 17:55

I’m managing really well and considering doing every day from Monday. The nausea has not returned and although I wouldn’t say I have suppression I’ve had no snacks for ten days, stuck to a 1400 calorie diet and have no desire for any more to eat other than my meals. I’d lost 2.5lbs on Sunday so I’m looking fwd to seeing what tmrw shows

UncomfortableBadger · 06/08/2026 12:33

Late joiner to the thread if that’s ok? Started Wegovy tablets at 1.5mg about 11 days ago and I’m 3kg down thus far - I suspect mostly water weight though and I have lots to lose.

Pleasantly surprised that no GI issues as yet but have been struggling with the occasional headache and potentially dry eyes as well (although there’s a good chance that this was triggered by some new skincare I started at a similar time).

Has anybody else opted to stay on the 1.5mg tablets beyond the first month? I’m still getting good suppression at 11 days in but aware that it might start to peter off…

socks1107 · 06/08/2026 17:40

So I can update I’ve lost 3.5lbs in ten days. I’m so thrilled I’ve broken my six month plateau. There’s only 3.2lbs to goal now!!

Imnotperfecteither · 07/08/2026 07:31

Week 4 and down from 114kg to 108kg.
still putting the work in with calorie counting and going to the gym 5 days a week. The tablets have definitely made the CC a lot easier
starting 4mg next week as I find the suppression is starting wear off. Been absolutely fine on 1.5mg so hoping that continues with the 4mg.

OnlyBoltCanSaveMeNow · 07/08/2026 22:36

Taking the plunge and ordering on Monday! Probably with Bolt. I’m just turning 62, suffered a bit with menopause and the weight has crept on - and won’t creep off!
Around 5ft in height and 13/13.5 stone. The joint pain is horrendous, almost every day. Struggle with basic tasks some days.
Im about to retire, 18/8 so hoping to start pills in comfort of own home!😄
I do love Coca Cola, chocolate, bacon frazzles and sweet tea…. Any advice to get rid of these devil foods or will the pill do that for me?
Very nervous but glad you’re all here. This thread has been so helpful! 🌺

Best advice is take each day as it comes. Count your calories and the pill will help you stay within your calories. Crisps are my absolute weakness and I still have a pack a day.

I started 4 weeks ago, and gone from 114.9kg to 107.6kg and feel great
go smash it!!
I’ve sent you a link for Bolt to get £40 off if that helps xx

applecharlotte · 08/08/2026 08:34

Interesting to see lots of people moving up from the initial dose too. I have lost 4lbs in the first month (only have 1.5st to lose) and def feel like my body has adapted to 1.5mg with pretty much no loss in the last two weeks.

Med express lets you buy your next prescription after 2 weeks so I originally got another month of 1.5mg but am going to double this up for 2 weeks (3mg dose) then start on 4mg for 4 weeks (already sitting in the cupboard). Would love to lose 12lb in 6 weeks. I took 3mg yesterday and this morning and already feel stronger suppression with no nasty side effects so fingers crossed.

I have a chronic health condition which limits my exercise and can only walk which I also think slows loss down. Wish I could get back to running.

I posted this on another thread but thought I d share here also as im.on both:

I have been reading about the half an hour window between taking the tablet and eating. Apparently the body can take up to 90 mins to fully absorb the semiglutinide and the makers decided to stick to half an hour as it seems that asking for a longer wait would be impractical for users.
Also even diluting it with black tea or coffee in that time could means less absorbtion. Apparently even a little food too early means that you may not absorb any of the drugs.
I do tend to take mine really early as I wake early but it could be why sometimes when I haven't waited more than an hour before drinking or eating I gave felt more hunger and why some people are reporting that they are not really feeling any different on it.
I have lost 6lbs on the first month so am happy on that , but just posting this because I thought that it would be useful . I'll put up a link to the article on separately.

Here is the article I read. Its quite clear that the longer you can wait after taking the tablet ( beyond the 30 minutes) the better . As these cost so much , I thought it important to share.
Apparently the injections do not have this problem. Im happier with the tablets, and OK with the restriction as I take them so early . But I probably does explain why some days I have that I have had more hunger supression and felt fuller than other days , especially on the 4mg tablets which I have now started . ( I don't buy mine from this company, it was just one of the articles that came up in a search when I put in 'Wegovy tablets half an hour' and it looks well researched)

RhubarbAndMustard · Yesterday 09:23

I’m 9 days into 4mg now and OMG the nausea is intense. I seem to have one day fine, next day awful. Am off on holiday in 4 days and hoping so much this settles. Have lost 4lbs now, so still coming off slowly even though my appetite is much less on 4mg. Just trying to eat small amounts to attempt to curb the nausea.

Wonderknicks · Yesterday 09:30

That's really interesting @Laska2Meryls . I've been waiting exactly the 30 minutes but can probably extend it. I often wake at 4am & go to the loo so I will try to take it then. I've lost a couple of kilos since starting 3 weeks ago but it has stalled.

Thanks for posting this, that's really interesting. I'm just waiting for my pills to arrive and will start then (hoping tomorrow or Wednesday) so I'll definitely keep ths in mind and try and leave at least an hour between taking
the pill and eating/drinking anything.
