Hi everyone.
I started MJ on Saturday 6th June at 1.25mg. I have terrible health anxiety and was petrified of side effects hence me starting at a half dose. I felt great suppression last week and lost weight. Had my second 1.25mg this Saturday and feel like I’ve got no suppression at all this time. Should I wait and see or would you you just add another 10 clicks today?
Advice much appreciated.

I would try to stick to 4 weeks of a stable dose, rather than start dosing different amounts at different times early on in the process of taking Mounjaro.

Personally I’d wait until Saturday and up your dose to whatever you feel comfortable with then 👍

The suppression effect can really vary throughout the week so you may find it changes tomorrow or even this afternoon.

Thank you. Yes, I think it makes more sense to wait until Saturday and then decide if going up 10 clicks. I know slow and steady is the right way I’m just so damn impatient. 🙈

I think, especially if you have health anxiety, surely using the medication how you are supposed to makes the most sense and then getting support from the supplier if you get side effects? Seems a little bonkers to me on your first week of using this medication you are already using it in a way other than what you are meant to. I assume counting clicks means you are also planning to use it for longer than the prescribed 30 days and then you leave yourself open to being anxious if something changes after that.

Honestly use it how you are supposed to so you dont give yourself unnecessary stress.

I would wait until Saturday and then take the 2.5mg dose and stick to that without messing around for 4 weeks.

You made sure the scenario of bad side effects didn’t happen by doing two trial weeks on half the minimum dose. Now you know that you respond well but don’t have bad side effects. So now you can follow the usual schedule without worrying.

I have done my research and based on that decided to start with 1.25mg. But thanks for your reply.

10 clicks of a 2.5mg pen would be 0.42mg, taking you to 1.67mg. Actually even less than that as its now monday evening and the dose concentration goes down over time. What would be the point of taking 10 clicks now if you have zero suppression, you'll probably just be back to 1.25mg or similar. Basically if you aren't getting suppression, satiety or reduced food noise at 1.25mg, the you need to go higher to get it.
Recommend downloading shotsy to check your dosage levels.

I'd probably give it a bit more time before adding extra clicks. My suppression wasn't exactly the same every week at the beginning either, and some weeks were definitely stronger than others. I found patience paid off rather than trying to chase the feeling.

I agree.
