To start or wait?

So I originally started wegovy in October - used it October November and December and lost an ok amount of weight in that time... I then changed jobs and had to stop as I couldn't afford it while finances were restailising (I had a small gap would have been ok if it also didn't fall around Christmas)

Anyway I am financial sorted and wanted to start again at the end of this month, however I've now also seen that the tablet form has been approached for the UK now.

The biggest question I have now, should i start with the injections, should I wait for the tablet from - does anyone know if there's much difference between them?

Well you can start with the injections and always switch to the pills. The pills are less effective.

I would start now on injections and then swap to the pills if you want to. They are less effective as the PP has said. The pill is daily and you have to take it on an empty stomach with a small amount of water and then wait at least 30 mins before eating, drinking or taking any other medication.

The other thing is that it's unclear how quickly the pills will become available, so it's a bit of an undefined delay.

In terms of cost, you can get the 0.25mg dose of Wegovy injections for just over £50 with a new customer discount which is pretty cheap already.

I'd restart injections for now, if you want to save cost just order a bigger dose and click count. People will say they're only meant to last 30 days but many providers are approving them for up to 8 weeks now so I'm not convinced - just keep it in the fridge. And yes, new customer discounts!

I'm using Wegovy 💙 and personally I'd be inclined to start with what's already available rather than waiting, but that's just me. It really depends on what fits your lifestyle and what your clinician recommends. 😊🌸
