How to quench insatiable thirst on mounjaro?

I’ve been on mounjaro for four months now. I don’t really have any side effects except I am so thirsty. My mouth feels dry all the time. I’m drinking more water than ever but it doesn’t seem to touch it.

Not something I have noticed, a couple of thing come to mind - isn't thirst a symptom of diabetes, are you diabetic/pre diabetic?

If it is a lot maybe consider an electrolyte as drinking a lot can dilute minerals.

Perhaps try boiled sweets if it is your mouth that feels dry.

How much water are you drinking? If it is excessive I think it is worth a mention to your provider to see if they think it is a symptom of something concerning that might need checking.

I havent heard of this being a symptom, maybe worth speaking with your gp

I was very thirsty for about a month but it settled down. I drink my usual 2l a day give or take.
electrolytes and boiled sweets are a good idea along with mentioning to your provider so just agreeing with what everyone has said so far!

Thanks for the replies. I did have a google and saw thirst mentioned.
I’ve had blood tests quite recently so it’s definitely not diabetes.
I might try an electrolyte and see if that helps, I’ve just moved up to 10mg so perhaps it will settle once I’m used to it a bit.

I was also very thirsty no matter how much I drank. It settled down after few weeks but i upped my water intake to about 3L and my digestive system and energy level are better. I don’t feel constant thirsty anymore.
