Switching provider for Wegovy 0.5mg and finding the best deals

I have been on wegovy for a month with zero effects. I’d like to go up to .5mg, I went with MedExpress originally as they had a good deal. If I want to deal hunt, does anyone know if I can just switch provider and ask for the .5mg dose or do I have to already be on that dose?

Any tips and tricks for deal hunting would be great.

Use https://igovy.co.uk/wegovy-price-comparison-uk/ for a price comparison.

Yes you can change pharmacies and ask for the 0.5mg dose. When you sign up and do their consultation it will ask if you are already taking a weight loss injection. You say yes, say Wegovy and say what dose you are currently on, so 0.25mg. You should then be offered the choice of staying on 0.25 or moving to 0.5mg. You need to show proof of your last prescription for this, as well as the usual id and verification checks. This can be a photo of the prescription label on the medication box that your previous Wegovy pen came in.

Thanks @SilenceInside
I tried with Bolt and they only offered me the .25mg which made me post the question as I thought I was misunderstanding the process. Good to get clarification, I’ll try with another provider.

It’s very very unusual for a pharmacy to try to dictate dosage in this way. I would challenge Bolt on that and ask for them to explain that decision, alongside telling them that you are cancelling your subscription as a result of this and changing pharmacies.
