Do pharmacies allow longer gaps between weight loss injection doses?

My pharmacy wants me to order every 4 weeks. I am now in maintenance mode and would like to stretch out the dosages to see if it still works.

Those who have bigger gaps between doses, is your pharmacy ok with this or do you shop around? I’ve only ever used two pharmacies and both times it’s been a palaver registering so the idea of different pharmacies each time isn’t very appealing!

Most have a 5-6 week limit, but if you put the order in at 5 weeks, then drag your heels with the verification photos you can normal eek it out another week or two without any questions being asked.

I use Swift Doctor and they are pretty flexible. I have just had my order delivered yesterday and it was 7 weeks and 6 days between orders.

I haven't tried myself but I saw a post on Reddit the other day where someone had agreed with Swift Doctor in their consultation to inject every other week and extend use of pen (so 8 weeks between orders).

"Hi, not OP, but SwiftDr prescribed me with taking 2.5mg every fortnight for maintenance, so not counting clicks but going beyond 30days after starting a pen, their GP and clinicians said it was fine."

I definitely take way longer than 4 weeks with Asda pharmacy. I buy a 15 pen but only take 7.5 so it lasts 10 weeks, never been a problem

This is really helpful, thank you!

I use MedExpress and have gone up to 6-7 weeks between orders with no problem.

Swift told me up to 8 weeks.

I drag mine out to 7 - 8 weeks. Never had a problem. So far. Thank goodness

I’m with Oushk and I think recently I had an email to say something like 5 weeks. I reorder every 4 weeks because I’m worried they’ll cut me off otherwise 😂 but I only ever have one pen at a time, not a stockpile.

I use Medicine Marketplace. They’re pretty flexible. 7 or 8 weeks if you take your time sending them the video of the scales they ask for each time. And they’re usually priced competitively.

I found with Oushk as long as I kept orders <6 weeks (so 5 weeks and 5 day was ok) there was no problems. If they did question an email saying I have a holiday 3 weeks ago, missed an injection but last injection was this week they were always fine.

Also a couple of times order early with a order date in future, they approved early and I then pushed date out further as I couldn't be in for the delivery and they didn't notice it was 7 weeks since last delivery. That might be a combination of poor processes/poor IT on their part/luck, so wouldn't count on it being ok.
