Swapping to wegovy

Has anyone had success swapping to wegovy? I have lost 8 stone on mounjaro, with another stone to go, but I can’t afford to continue on mounjaro. Either I stop completely or swap!

I have tried Mounjaro and Wegovy, and to be honest,I found Wegovy much more effective. I went up to 10 mg of Mounjaro and had minimal appetite suppression. I lost hardly any weight during the 16 weeks I was on it. When the price of Mounjaro went up,I switched to Wegovy and found my appetite substantially reduced after 5 weeks (one week on the 0.5 mg dose). I've lost 4 lbs in the last week alone. No idea why the Mounjaro didn't work for me. After reading all the reports about it being the 'King Kong' of weight loss injections,I had high hopes! But thankfully the Wegovy is working for me.

That’s a positive! I’ve had my last dose of mounjaro, wegovy next week! I shall see how it goes 😊

Good luck!

Can you microdose from Wygovy? I currently take 10mg from a 15mg Mounjaro pen, to make it more cost effective. Can you do similar with Wygovy pens?

I did the same with MJ, I’ve swapped to wegovy recently because it’s a lot cheaper and was delighted to find I can micro dose in exactly the same way using a syringe. I am finding weygovy perfectly fine for maintenance

I’ve been on Mounjaro for nearly two years (4 stone weight loss) and have been maintaining for nearly six months on 10mg.

Due to cost, I’ve swapped to wegovy (1.7mg was prescribed) and I was a little worried but reading these comments I’m feeling positive now!

I can take my first new injection tomorrow 🙏🏻

It’s funny how differently these medications work for people. Wegovy has worked well for me, but I think a lot of it has been the routine I've built around it too. The support and tracking through my programme has helped me stay consistent with smaller portions and healthier habits.

First dose last night! No side effects yet🤞. I’m currently on a low dose ( as I was on the same for Mounjaro ) but will probably increase next month, still much cheaper as long as it works!
I lost 8 stone in 16 months on mounjaro, I’m hoping I can lose another stone and then maintain on wegovy.

Spoke too soon! Dreadful diarrhoea and vomitting all day yesterday, feel dreadful. May try one more dose ( or perhaps half dose!) next week and see how I get on! Otherwise it’s either back to mounjaro or go cold turkey 😢and give up completely!

Can you do half doses on Wygovy? Is it clicks, the same as Mounjaro?

Were you actual vomiting, or just feeling nauseous? If you were actual vomiting, multiple times, I'd suggest a pathogen of some sort is likely causing that.

WRT runny poo, I get that any time I eat fatty foods or drink lots of fluids. Im never really concerned by it, personally.

Feeling nauseous and lots of burping, definitely diarrhoea!
On the plus side, I lost 2 lbs yesterday, couldn’t eat a thing!
I think you can click count in wegovy too, so will try that, have some Imodium to hand and give it a go. If not, I’m thinking of going without and see how I get on!
