I wanted to ask if anyone had becoming ill or seriously after taking a weight loss injectable? So pancreatic problems, thyroid, anything like what is in the press about the risks? I so want to try it but am afraid if the risks.

I haven’t had side effects beyond some constipation.

I know a few people who have had more serious effects but they all went quickly to high doses and could barely eat, and I don’t think malnourishment is very good for you!

I’ve lost 5st on 2.5mg and 2 so far on 5, I don’t plan to up the dose any more.

I joined a Mounjaro for beginners FB page and there are lots of people feeling really sick though as side effects. It sounds debilitating for many and seems to matter where you inject? One woman is in casualty after her first dose saying she never been this ill.

When people up the dose is it because you weren’t losing weight?

I'd say from personal experience there's a correlation between what I've eaten and feeling nauseous. Or not enough fluids.

2.5mg isn't even a treatment dose, it's just to get your body used to it, and some people dont lose any weight.....but then some do and do well on this low level.
In all honesty the only cases of severe side effects I've heard about are people buying dodgy GLPs from their mate from the beauty salon.

Yes, as the drug becomes less effective you increase dosage. However everyone finds a sweet spot. Im 18 months in and not moved beyond 10mg and not far off goal.

A lady I know had problems with her gall bladder, admitted to hospital etc, and is now waiting for it to be removed. She was told by the consultant not to go back on the jabs.

What are they all eating? A lot of SE come from people chasing high suppression, hardly eating and then when they do eat it’s still the greasy kebab, just less of it. You will find plenty of people talking about the SE they have but you need to consider how they have approached the WLI.

Ultimately you don’t know how it might affect you unless you try so you just either need to go for it or not. I have OCD and thought it would literally kill me but I was in such a bad place I considered it worth the risk. I didn’t die, I lost 9 stone and it changed me life.

No, far too many people move because they think you have to, or because they want that high suppression to lose weight quickly. I did over a year in the 2.5mg before moving up. Even now I only take 5mg and I have a great appetite but it keeps the drive to eat constantly at bay.

op, if you are this anxious, maybe just dont take it. personally its been life changing and ive lost 9st 3lb in 14 months and now maintaining and will never come off it, but you have to fuel yourself properly and hydrate.

I’m not sure that’s fair, you’re acting like you’re the poster child and everyone else is at fault.

peiple move becaude different doses work differently on human bodies, it’s great you could do it on 2.5, but thay dose is not a therapeutic dose , it’s a half dose to initiate treatment and get your body used to it. Many people have no impact from it, and they move up to find the one that works optimally for them.

for some that’s 2.5 and some it’s 15. I’m all for bigging youself up, but this is just ridiculous quite frankly. Sure some do, but the cost of the meds, mean many people try to make it work at a lower dose as they can’t afford the higher ones and I do wonder if you’re one of them,

Oh don’t be so ridiculous, I’m taking about people moving up when they don’t need to; not suggesting nobody should.

Yes I was admitted to hospital with an inflamed gallbladder, now removed.
However I think they are a wonder drug and have helped so many people.

I felt weird when I first took it and got really thirsty. eating ice lollies helped.
Had constipation at first too.
Then after that I seemed to be mostly fine until 10mg which made me feel really tired, so I went back down a dose to 7.5.

It's worth mentioning though that even initial side effects, I had good ones too in that my morning swelling in my hands and feet stopped and a lot of my general achiness improved quite quickly.

I am someone who always gets side effects for drugs and I'm a sensitive little snowflake, but I found it manageable, and could be mitigated by having a jab on a Fri so I could see how it was over the weekend.

Good time of year to try it too as it makes you feel the cold more
