Minimum BMI providor

Does anyone know of a provider who will do a new-starter prescription for people are are overweight but not with a BMI of 30+?

I am asking for a mate, who has seen my great results. She has a stubborn 2+ stone to lose and has asked for my advice. Before I dive in with my evangelical spiel, I suspect she is too ‘slim’ to get a prescription.

I have googled but thought I would ask here.

(Please no one give me any grief, I have already tempered her expectations but thought I would ask here before giving what could be irresponsible advice)

Medexpress and Voy do lower than 30 BMI. I had a BMI of 28 with high cholesterol (7.1) and a bit of osteoporosis arthritis in Oct 2025 - Medexpress were fine with that for a new MJ starter. I think their criteria has opened up a bit more now too to a lower BMI, but I’m not sure if you still need to have a couple of medical ‘issues’.

Voy will consider off label for BMI 25-27, no additional medical conditions required to qualify. Medexpress advertise that they do the same though I've heard of people being refused by the clinician who assesses it saying they need to be 27+.
Many other providers will do BMI 27-30 without health issues. Assuming your friend is in the UK btw.
