Recommendations for face to face 1st WLI appointment (on the south coast)

Hi, I have been lurking/looking and have decided I wish to try WLI.. I would like to start out with a face to face appointment, not online. I know this will probably cost more but happy to pay while I get started. On the south coast. I have seen Superdrug have appointments this weekend and the cost is £226 for 2.5mg.
I know online/delivery will be cheaper but I really just want face to face recommendations at this point. Many thanks for any advice.

That seems high. I get mine face to face from a local independent pharmacy and 2.5, the starting dose, is more like £160. I'm currently paying £230 for 7.5.

I'm south east but not south coast. I would suggest googling local pharmacies/weight loss services too see if you can find a sightly more competitive price. I think the larger chains like Boots and Superdrug charge a premium for face to face to encourage online ordering, whereas smaller places can only do in person anyway.

You're right that it will always be slightly more expensive than online - you can't use loyalty codes and swap about but it's been worth it and necessary for me because of delivery issues to my house. I also found the support helpful in the early days.

Who would you be seeing at Superdrug. Their local store pharmacist who doesn’t specialise in weight loss injections or would it be a Dr.

Depending on why you want face to face you could consider somewhere like Swift Doctor or other Dr led pharmacy who do specialise in weight loss injections and have a video consultation with a Dr.

I paid £188 for a 2.5ml pen, sharps bucket and the needles. Paid £175 for second pen. Brilliant pharmacist, loads of support - I'm in the S East

Have you got a Day Lewis pharmacy near you? They are much cheaper than Superdrug and do face to face weight loss appointments and prescriptions.

Not cheap but with Bupa you have a private GP appointment intitially and then every 5-6 months another GP check up.

I have them on Zoom but I think you can opt for an in-person one but they may not be available everywhere.

I pay £219 for 5mg pen.
