Have been on Wegovy for 2 weeks, third jab tomorrow. I am SO cold. I know it’s been unseasonably cold for May but I am cold like February.

anyone else???

Yes it's a common side effect

FrothyCothy · 19/05/2026 21:52

Yep, for first two months I was freezing! Less so now, but am looking forward to a bit of heat over the next week or two!

HollyhockDays · 19/05/2026 21:52

Yes. It’s most odd. I invested in some Uniqlo layers!!

TheChosenTwo · 19/05/2026 21:53

I’ve been on MJ for 18 months and have basically been freezing the entire time. I’m just used to it now 😂 thermal long sleeves and thermal leggings under everything and a heated blanket in every room of the house. It all helps me!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/05/2026 21:55

Always cold. I was a cold person anyway - now lost 7s of fat and blubber 😜 I’m bloody freezing

heating still on. And winter duvet tog 15

i used to usually have heating off in May and go to summer 4 tog duvet

TipsyLaird · 19/05/2026 22:19

I’ve only just started and not lost much but am frozen!

Yes, I’ve been cold since I started. Most odd as I was always boiling and made worse by all the extra weight. It was definitely the Mounjaro and not the weight loss as it was happening when I was still morbidly obese.

I have blankets everywhere, thermal layers, microwave heat pads, electric heated sheet on my bed, rechargeable hand warmers, wrist warmers, neck buffs, scarves, hat with ear flaps…. So many things! I am looking forward to the apparent heat wave next week where I might not be freezing for a while.

ShrankLastWinter · 19/05/2026 22:40

So, so cold. I begin to be comfortable at about 30 degrees now. Probably need to emigrate.

Im always cold now.. still got my winter duvet on my bed. Heated throw in living room. Thermal long sleeve top worn most days.
I used to be a warm person but since MJ I am freezing.

HeidiLite · Yesterday 09:19

yes. But, but heatwave is coming and instead of sweaty red faced mess, I am now comfortable.

Diddlydoowap · Yesterday 12:17

Yes, coldness is my only side effect! I am losing weight (though slowly) but I would think the MJ was a placebo if I wasn't insanely cold all the time!

HappyWineDay · Yesterday 12:29

Always frozen. I've had to start wearing a tee shirt under my work shirt and i still end up wearing a fleece over that most of the time. As others have said, this heatwave can't come quick enough!

Friendlygingercat · Yesterday 12:44

I agree and there was a thread about this a few days ago with PP saying how cold it was in different parts of the UK. I have hypothyroidism and this is a classic symptom so I thought it was just me. Apparently not.

I had bed socks on last night

yellowduckieswalking · Yesterday 13:11

Yes! And as a Geordie it is very weird to wear a coat and scarf
i also sleep in socks now!

morbidcuriosity · Yesterday 13:18

Ha, yes to socks too. Also sleep in leggins now, I used to live in shorts and sleep in shorts..

HeidiLite · Yesterday 14:13

I lived in my oodie most of the winter.
But it's now my second slim summer and it's totally worth it! I was always a very sweaty person, even when slim, and MJ seems to have stopped that too. Can do a full intense cardio class or walk around in 35+ degrees, fresh as a daisy.
