Mounjaro side affects

Hi

I started 2.5mg mounjaro yesterday morning, by the evening I felt my appetite was starting to go but still had dinner and I felt very tried come 9/10 pm which isn't like me but I know this can be a side affect

today I have no desire to snack but I defo do still have an appetite just not nearly as much

I am not sure if this is a side affect as I carried some heavy shopping the other day I have read it can be but I have very sore muscles when I press my skin around the top of my back, my neck, even around my jaw line and a little bit on my stomach it's like when you have done a workout.. none at all on my legs it's all upper body

Has anyone experienced this ? Could it be from the jab?

also since I ate dinner last night I am getting what is like heartburn but it does not burn if that makes sense as in it is not acidic but feels like reflux.. this has been going on for nearly 24 hours now

I have taken peptobismol which has not stopped it. Does anyone have any advice ? It is worse after I eat

I had the acid reflux which I expected as I have a hiatus hernia, it lasted for about 3-4 days. I took two Rennies straight after my lunch the one day and it seemed to go away. Occasionally comes back but not as bad and as I say I have a hiatus hernia so I had been warned. I'm avoiding tomatoes etc

I have taken 3 x 2.5 doses. I am a bit tired, sometimes cold.

I am finding I don't get hungry that often and I eat far less than I used to. My portions sizes have definitely decreased. I have the odd snack if I feel a bit peckish - usually a banana in the late afternoon. Finding some foods are not tasting as nice especially salmon and tuna. I don't eat meat so don't know if my taste buds would have changed for that.

I am hoping when I get to 5ml that the acid reflux doesn't return

Good luck

Sounds like it’s the placebo effect. The drug takes time to build up in the body so it’s highly unlikely that you are experiencing side effects so soon

the muscle aches have now stopped but the fatigue remains

I don't think it is a placebo affect..I know people who have lost several stone on just 2.5mg, and had suppression within a day for some it has no affect but for others it absolutely works at that dose

Muscle aches and fatigue are both well known side effects. I was absolutely knackered when I first started for the first couple of months, but then it passed :)

I had immediate side effects, and zero appetite for the first week or so, and then it settled down. I remember feeling extremely tired and cold. A bit like mild flu.

I had the reflux and horrible full feeling quite badly when I first started too. For me it was worse after heavier meals, so I had to start eating much smaller portions even when I thought I was being sensible already 😅 the muscle soreness could honestly just be coincidence though if you’d been carrying heavy shopping.
