I am currently 14 stone 6, a size 14 BMI 38 and would love to get back to 11 stone being a size 10-12 which is what I was before having my two children. I do join gym but I just don’t have the time working a full time job and having 2 children under the age of 3. I am considering mounjaro but I have quite bad health anxiety so I would be so worried taking mounjaro, hence this post to find out how people have found it, if they would recommend or if they wouldn’t.

I have spoken to many people that have taken Mounjaro, and the worst side effect I heard was severe diarrhoea, but other than that most people have been fine.

Please tell me your stories to help me make a final decision. Thank you! X

I've been on it for about a year and lost 5 stone so far. I've stayed on 5mg. I was thirsty to begin with but that seems OK now. I've hardly had any d&v and the occasional sulphur burbs. I did start to suffer with hair loss a few months in and I started taking biotin tablets and that seems to have stopped it. I do take a multi-vitimin everyday and also take a fibre supplement. I eat mainly a protein diet so was struggling to go to the toilet and that seems to have helped. I also have collogen and an electrolyte every morning. However, I have never felt better! Just feeling healthier and like I have more energy. I also work full time with 2 small children and its been great for me! Totally changed my life.

I’ve been on it about two years. I occasionally get quite bad diarrhoea and a very rumbly stomach that keeps me awake. None of that kicked in until I was on quite high doses. That’s it realkt.I’m on 15 mg. I’ve never vomited or anything like that.

I had pretty much no side effects at all, just some very mild nausea. Its a great way to lose weight, I struggled for years and it was so exciting to see something finally working.

I started at size 22/24 in April 2024. BMI 38. 19st 5lb . January 2025 l was a size 8, BMI 23..1 and 9st 10.
I maintain on 7.5mg. My weight had been stable +/- 2lbs for 10 months so treated myself to a tummy tuck in November as my loose skin was sore. So am now 9st 3 but can’t put that down to MJ.. it was the surgeons knife .

I had no side effects beyond a couple of days of constipation . I know for sure 12 friends on MJ none of whom appear to have any problems with it. All are significantly smaller than they used to be.

I was able to lose a large amount of weight fairly quickly and easily by following the instructions on the medication. I started at 2.5 and went up in 2.5 mg doses until I reached the top dose of 15mg. I stayed there until I reached goal and then came back down until I reached a dose that allowed me to eat a sufficient diet to maintain my weight. It’s all been ridiculously easy and a complete life changer .
Please don’t let anxiety ruin your chance of being a healthy weight. The poor physical and mental health side effects of obesity are far far greater than the tiny percentage of the estimated 25-30 MILLION people using these miracle drugs worldwide . Which is in line with most common drugs like aspirin and paracetamol.

I started on wegovy last September. I was 14 stone 7lbs and I’m 5”3. In the year before I started taking it I had piled on 3 stone (my usual weight is around 11/ 11 stone 7lbs). I was desperate to lose it but just couldn’t stick to the likes of SW and WW. I did it properly and made sure I ate well but I also tracked calories and it seemed 1400 calories a day was the amount for me to lose 1lb a week. The highest dose I went on was 1mg.. didn’t go any higher than that and still lost weight. I came off it in February and I’m currently sitting at 11 stone 10lbs. I’m trying to get down to 11 on my own but it is harder! I’m happy I lost the majority of weight with the help of the jab. I was also worried about taking it.. I barely even take a paracetamol for a headache so for me it was quite a big deal. However I feel so much better about myself now and I’m able to fit into the clothes I couldn’t that were just sitting in my wardrobe.
I didn’t get any side effects other than when I moved up to the 1mg and I was sick.. however the next week on it I felt fine (maybe a bit tired ) and you have to remember to drink water. Whatever you decide good luck but there’s no shame in it.. loads of people take it and it’s just an appetite suppressant which makes losing weight a lot easier!
