Anyone else starting Wegovy this month and worried about side effects?

Hi all, I'm literally just about to do my first Wegovy injection of 0.25. I'm so nervous about the side effects.
I did mounjaro last year for about 6 weeks, 4 on 2.5 and 2 on 5mg, but I had to stop. The side effects were awful, I had diarrhoea and vomiting and just overall felt rubbish. I think it was partly due to not knowing how to actually eat healthy properly too. I've now educated myself and know how to get in enough protein etc, so I took the plunge and bought the wegovy pen. I just cannot seem to stick to healthy eating for more than 2 weeks without binging again.
I am 28, 5'5 and 19st. Sick and tired of being massive and uncomfortable.
Anyone else starting this month?

Were you very ill all the time on the 2.5mg of MJ or just for the first 48hours after injecting? What made you increase the dose to 5mg?

It’s not unusual to feel unwell in the beginning as your body gets used to the drug but for most people the side effects considerably reduce and disappear within the first month or so. Also, it’s really important to eat clean and focus on protein and fibre. I find that if I choose fatty or high carb foods, it can make me feel rubbish and affects my sleep too so I’m careful to focus on eating lots of fresh veg and fruit after injecting.

Originally prescribers advised to move up the doses every 4 weeks but that’s not the standard advice now. Most prescribers will suggest only moving up to the next pen dose if the suppression stops working.

A lot of users now only move up by small increments using click counting rather than going straight to the next full pen dose mainly to reduce the risk of unwanted side effects and small increases will still help with appetite suppression.

I’ve been on MJ for over 8 months, lost 4 stones and am still only taking 3.5mg from a 5mg pen using click counting. (42 clicks) I only have another stone to go so I’m unlikely to increase beyond 5mg. Hoping to stay on 3.5mg for the final stone even if it takes 4 months to get there.

I just started on Wegovy today. Not feeling any side effects yet, nor any noticeable impact on appetite…

I started 10 Jan , no side effects on .25mg but once I went up to .50mg have diarrhoea in the morning 2 days later and sometimes it wakes me up in the early hours and I need the loo asap .
I'm now on 1.7mg and it might not be as bad but it is still happening .

I just started yesterday. Not sure what the effects or side effects are yet. I have so many other factors at play. Going through a break up and other health conditions, it's hard to say what's what at the moment
