Are you working out? Mine went yes, 6 and a half stone down. But it took continual work throughout, strenght snd cardio, and eating my protein, then I have found I went into body recomp when I hit goal and started running a lot more it has really flattened it and pulled it taut totally.

Megsdaughter · 01/05/2026 20:16

No, Im disabled andcwalk with a walker, was in a wheelchair but losing tge weight has got me on my feet. I can stand without my stick as well now 😃.

Ok obvs didn’t know that. It’s prob unlikely to go then. And gnats great news you can stand,

Donewiththisshit · 01/05/2026 20:38

No- mine is still there. BMI 22

Megsdaughter · 01/05/2026 20:51

Bugger, mine is solid fat though. Could cope I think if it was just skin.

I think mine is just skin now, my BMI is 20, size 8 and I’ve lost 7 stone, I have a flat stomach but just a little tiny line that overhangs. There’s nothing ‘in it’ if that makes sense?!
Ive exercised throughout - it’s not going anywhere and I’m totally fine with it but it’s really small and only noticeable when I’m naked.

Megsdaughter · 01/05/2026 21:04

My BMI is still 33. I hace come down from 49.

Im a size 16/14 at the top and an 18 at the bottom so that I can do trousers up over the overhang.

I was in a 26 a year ago.

This. I lost 9 stone and still had it, working out and weights flattened it.

PearlsTeapot · 01/05/2026 21:15

Wow, what amazing loss! Mine is still there but feels more like skin than the rock hard fat it used to be after 7 stone loss. I don't think it'll ever go, I can't imagine my 40 year old body changing that much, feels impossible.

If you intend to lose more weight it will drop down, my bmi is 20.

MondeoFan · 01/05/2026 22:00

I’d like to know this too. Down from a size 16 to a 14 and still have the overhang. Probably need to lose more weight.

I’m mid 40s and working out and growing muscle has totally changed my body comp, it’s never too late!

Mine was considerable to start with, and even when I'd lost 7st, it was still very much there.

But since I've lost nearly 10st, it's almost gone.

I read all the time on our threads that it's the last thing to go, and it has been for me.

So there's light at the end of the tunnel @Megsdaughter

And well done on being able to stand now.

Yes. I'm now a size 8 - 10 (down from 24 - 26) and it's almost gone.

When I was a 14, it was definitely still there.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 01/05/2026 22:19

And I've never worked out BTW, or added protein shakes etc.

I can move freely now and I walk a lot more than I did, but I don't exercise.

Megsdaughter · 01/05/2026 22:24

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne oh thats good to know. We are going on holiday in September and Im hoping to have list at least another 2 stone by then so hopefully it wont be as big then.

I’m a long way from having to worry about my stomach overhand, but wanted to suggest looking at seated exercises. I have problem with my feet and can’t stand for long, but was suggested to look at Senior Exercises with Meredith on YouTube. She has both strength and cardio routines which are entirely seated which may be of use to you.

Well done on your loss so far and best of luck.

BreakingBroken · 01/05/2026 22:57

another one to suggest seated exercises and exercises you can do lying down.

SexyFrenchDepression · Yesterday 21:43

Mine went when I got down to about BMI 21, I wouldn't say its completely gone but even with low rise underwear you can't see it, if I worked out more then it would pretty much go completely. Its weirdly only really on one side.
