Can I get weight loss injections with a history of gallstones?

Hi I was using Mounjaro hope a few months no issues, then Med Express suddenly stopped it as I’d had gall stones about 6-7 years ago.

The thing is, I haven’t had any issues with gall stones for ages, I was using Mounjaro for ages without issue..

I appreciate I might need to take extra care, but is there a provider who will issue either Mounjaro or wegovy in these circumstances

Yes. I’ve had them with oushk.

Maybe not the same thing but I had my gall bladder removed years ago and have just had my third pen agreed. This time with IQ Doctor.

it seems that I’d be ok if I had my gall bladder removed

I’ve had mine out and get mine from Medicine Marketplace.

There is a risk of developing gall stones with rapid weight loss. I don't think it's the same if you've had the gallbladder removed though. Someone on my Feb starters thread started with gallstones shortly after starting the WLI. Tbh, having experienced gallstones I would rather be fat forever than experience that pain again, so I'd not risk it until I'd had my gallbladder out! But if you're happy with the increased risk it sounds like some providers are willing to sell it to you.
I've had my gallbladder out so hasn't been an issue for me accessing them.

Yes! Im on them. Medexpress cut me off after 12 months for the same reason.

Asda didn't ask about gallstones, so used them, but expensive.

Everydaymeds asked about gallstones. I said got them but no issues in over 2 years and had followed weightloss guidance to go slow and steady and they prescribed for me too.

Medexpress are fhe worst, they randomly cut you off for a number of issues, it is always computer says no and they don’t do maintenance, I’m always surprised people use them. Go to a different pharmacy.

Independent pharmacy were also who I used and declared gallstones too.

Both IP and everyday meds were in the last 6 weeks. I ordered from EDM, but then they ghosted me, reviews were terrible and thought I was going to have to claim back through my credit card (should have checked reviews before getting sucked in by the offer!). So rapidly ordered from Independent pharmacy too. Then both shipped my pens. 🙄.
Ive gone back to IP this month and they sent another discount code too.

Pharmulous prescribed for me when an ultrasound to confirm fatty liver disease incidentally found I had small gallstones. I also may order with Boots as I got a 20% discount code (Expert20) in with my prescription delivery I get with them. I haven’t ordered yet bit they so ask if you have had any gallstone activity in their questionnaire rather than auto rejecting at any mention of gallstones.
