Sudden side effects after second increased dose? Wegovy.

I have done two months on 0.25 Wegovy and then went up to 0.5. First week OK. This week I injected on Saturday and was hit with horrendous side effects yesterday - sulphur burps and then middle of the night and early morning diarrhoea. I have had to take today off work.

I'm now terrified that the same thing will happen next week. Is there a chance my body will adjust and get used to it?

That matches my experience exactly . As you , fine on the .25 but not the .5mg , to hope ease the symptoms I stayed on .5mg for 2 months before moving up to 1mg , unfortunately it's no better , but no worse either .
I'm due another one in two weeks and have agreed to the 1.7mg which will be the biggest jump .
I've been on Wegovy since 10/01 and have lost 35lbs but still a long way to go .
I've kind of resigned myself to always having the symptoms . I'm not endlessly on the loo but when I need to go I have to immediately , there is no holding on !

It can depend on what you eat. Many side effects only happen when in conjunction with certain foods - ones I’ve heard of are high fat foods, alcohol, high sugar and high fibre. The only side effects I ever had were due to beans and chia seeds.

Check what you eat and see if any changes make a difference.

Mine is worse 2 days after jabbing and starts to get a little better as the week goes on
I am staying low / no sugar don't eat meat , might have 1 or 2 salmon fillets a week but take off the skin and dab the fillet on kitchen paper to take away some of its oilyness so assume I'm fairly low fat as well .

I had similar with sudden side effects when I started my 2nd month at 1.7. Up until then I had virtually no side effects. Soon as I started the 2nd pen at 1.7 I had awful side effects. Sulphur burps, being sick multiple times daily and awful diarrhoea. For me in carried on for a month with no improvement even with a reduction back down to 1mg.
I've had to stop completely as I couldn't function. It was so sudden almost felt like there was something different in the 2nd 1.7mg pen.

I had the same after moving up on wegov with She med, awful sulphur burps and diarrhoea for a few days. My body did adjust though and it’s been really effective for weight loss since. Stay hydrated and keep meals light for now.
