Should I increase my dosage or not? Graph provided

Would you increase dose or not?

I need to order my next pen and am not sure whether to stick with 5mg or increase it as my weight loss is slowing?

Obviously it costs more but if it takes longer to get to goal weight otherwise that cost is probably counteracted?

I'm trying to get to a healthy BMI before trying to conceive, and want to achieve that asap, so won't be taking it at a maintenance dose long term. I am also conscious of not wanting to get to a very high dose and then finding it harder to stop taking it.

I've done 4x2.5mg doses and 6x5mg doses

Thanks!

P.s. the wedding is one I'm a guest at not my own!

I should have added I took the golden dose from my last pen, and will do for this pen, so I've still got 4x5mg doses to take. But annoyingly Bolt wants me to choose my next order now. It's so hard to decide what to do so far in advance. Thanks

If it's working for you then you don't need to go up a dose. It doesn't mean you'll lose weight more quickly because you take a higher dose. That's not how it works. It's about finding the right dose for your body to lose weight effectively. From your graph, it looks like you've already found a good dose.

  1. dont give in on reminders too much , most suppliers do this 2 weeks after your last order was delivered but give yourself atleast a week before the first dose of the next pen is due so it arrives on time
  2. weightloss will slow down after the first weeks as you first losses are water weight , the longer you on MJ the less average loss will be , if it’s working and still loosing stay on dose . If it is not working and you not loosing for 3 weeks go up. Remember there will be weeks that you might not loose and other weeks you will have whoshes.

The other poster is correct in that you might have massive suppression on a higher dose, but that doesn’t translate to losing weight any faster. Mounjaro doesn’t have any impact on your fat cells, it causes appetite suppression and slows down your digestion, so you feel fuller for longer.

Also, weight loss naturally slows down as you get closer to your healthy bmi.

Another thing to bear in mind, is that you’re meant to stay on a maintenance level for at least a year after reaching your goal to enable your body to get used to the changes; it’s new size, your appetite levels, exercise frequency, etc.

It takes as long as it takes!
