Well, I started at the end of September and stopped at the beginning of December because of illness. Started again 10 days ago and just weighed myself. Total weight loss is 1 stone 12 pounds and BMI is down from 36 to 30 so I'm happy with the slow loss. Main thing is that my blood sugar levels are good too.

Thepinkwave · 12/04/2026 17:12

Hi, joining this chat. I had my first injection last Thursday 4 days ago. All okay so far. Food noice gone until yesterday apart from I was woken up this morning by a dream where I was organising all my meals for the day. Nightmare! Very strange.
today the food noise is gone away again.

custardlover · 12/04/2026 17:32

Got to go out for a meal for work tonight, very fancy French restaurant and menu is all rich sauces and cream. Think I’ll be getting some side salads!

Wingingit11 · 12/04/2026 19:31

I was a bit daunted about re starting but feel pretty assured by the fact I had negligible side effects right up to 15 mg last time. I don’t want to go high dose this time as so much more expensive though so going to eke out low doses as long as possible.
separate point, have people been receiving since 1 April the new style pens you don’t have 60 clicks on ?

pomegranatepie · 12/04/2026 21:18

Well, I did it! First jab, I was terrified, but couldn't feel a thing. I really really hope this works for me, but feeling optimistic. Saw some photographs of myself yesterday and I really need to lose this extra weight and get strong and healthy again.

ScreamingDelight · 12/04/2026 22:58

Hey all, took 1st dose on Thurday (9th) evening. I have debated with myself on taking MJ for about 18 months. Was very scared of side effects etc, after eating well, cutting out snacks and fizzy drinks and literally getting no where, decided to give it a go. Scared of the side effects but also having a bmi of over 48 is equally killing me too. Would like to loose 7 stone. Starting weight is almost 20 stone, would like to aim for 13, so a long way to go, but will just assess as I go. Definitely do not want the drawn in/skeleton look that I have seen colleagues have. I have planned my meals for 3-4 days in advance so i always know what I am having and that i meet my calorie, protein and fibre goals.

Thesehills · 13/04/2026 07:17

Day 3 for. me. No side effects yet other than I'm more thirsty than normal. No hunger over the weekend. Wonderful!

Being very careful of how and what I eat.

Happy so far.

pomegranatepie · 13/04/2026 09:32

No side effects so far, but my erratic perimenopausal period just surprised me, so I am crampy. I'm not remotely hungry however, which is unusual for this point in my cycle. I shall make myself a healthy breakfast and see how that goes.

Thepinkwave · 13/04/2026 09:48

What is everyone eating for breakfast? I hate Greek yogurt, I don’t want to use protein powers that are rip offs, I would like something quick and sweet.

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 13/04/2026 09:54

Morning all. I’ve taken my 4th dose of 2.5 today. No side effects at all but only 6lb down overall. Some days I’ve struggled to eat at all, whereas yesterday evening I could have eaten the fridge - it’s the first time I’ve actually been hungry since I started. I’ve just ordered my 5mg dose, just waiting on it being processed.

Did you order it from the same supply you ordered the 2.5mg?
I was just wondering if, in case we change provider, we must order earlier than usual.

pomegranatepie · 13/04/2026 11:08

I made myself the smallest bowl of greek yoghurt, kefir, blueberries, mango and mixed seeds for breakfast, which is what I normally have (but bigger) and it was a struggle to finish it. I'm really surprised by how quickly my appetite has been curbed.

I normally have greek yogurt, fruit and seeds, but sometimes a boiled egg or two, mashed up in a bowl. Very occasionally a slice of rye sourdough, but bread often makes me instantly bloated (sadly)

MyGardenDaisies · 13/04/2026 11:36

Hello!

I have just taken my 1st dose and it was very easy but I got myself so worked up, adrenaline rush 😂

Same! I was shaking afterwards, I had been so anxious, but I genuinely didn't feel a thing!

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 13/04/2026 12:07

@Thepinkwaveno I’ve switched providers, simply due to the price using discount codes. I was receiving emails from MedExpress though from Friday reminding me to reorder. It just means starting again though with photos, ID and measurements.

I have greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey, with whatever fruit i have in.

Cedricsmum · 13/04/2026 16:49

I’ve only just taken my second dose but I’m already thinking about what to do when I need to reorder. What are we all doing? Are we moving suppliers? Any recommendations? I got my first pen from MedExpress and tempted to stay with them because it’s less faff but on the other hand they look quite a bit more expensive than some of the others so I think I’ll be moving. Any recommendations anyone?

ThirdBiscuit · 13/04/2026 17:06

@Cedricsmum- I’m at the same stage as you but finding the 2.5mg is working really well - don’t feel hungry at all. So was thinking of staying on the 2.5mg for the next one and not changing from MedExpress just to keep things a bit stable. Are you staying on the same or going up to 5mg? Do you know if there is a discount from MedExpress for the next order?

ThirdBiscuit · 13/04/2026 17:09

@custardlover- how was your meal out? I’ve got a few coming up for work over the next few weeks and already feel like I’m going to be the one at the table who won’t be able to finish my meal 🙈 - haven’t told many people I’m on MJ yet :(

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 13/04/2026 19:04

@Cedricsmumive just changed and agree it’s a faf but MedExpress was £50 cheaper than my current supplier (online pharmacy). I’ve been back and forth throughout the day with photographs, measurements, proof of current dose etc. It’s been a pain really and still not showing as approved.

I used MedExpress for my first prescription I used them because of the £50 discount. However they’re quite expensive for subsequent prescriptions . Suggest you go on online chat and request to get a person. Mine was held up for a couple of days. No idea why but as soon as I’d spoken to a real person in the chat it was sorted and issued really quickly.

I think I’m going to stay in the 2.5 for the next one and review next time as to whether I move up. I don’t think there’s any more incentives once you’ve had the first £50 off unfortunately.

Wingingit11 · 13/04/2026 20:33

If you can be bothered to keep changing, www.monj.co.uk has prices with discounts and you can order by dose. I’ll probably stick with pharmulous a while but previously used oushk, iq doctor, Asda all fine. Worth thinking how important it is to book a precise delivery date v lowest price to you.

Hi, just jumping on to tell you my experience.

I got my first two pens from the same supplier. The first, was with a first customer referral discount. Second was with returning a customer discount.
I then switched suppliers for each of my next three pens. I used new customer referral codes each time from the Mounjaro website.
There are other discount website out there, shop around for the best discount.

I have just ordered my 5th pen, £73 discount. As a first customer, the provider gave me an automatic £45 discount but I had a code that will give me more and I used that one.

It may seem a faff but when you do it once, after then it is pretty rountine and done in less than 5 mins.

My first order - wanted current weight and height, full body picture facing forward, picture of proof of ID and short video.

Subsequent providers all wanted

  • current weight & height,
  • full body pictures front view - some wanted a front view only, some a front view & a side view and one wanted a side view only),
  • pictures of proof of ID and
  • pictures of my last prescription.

No videos.
It is all actually pretty straightforward and well worth the discount. I think.
