Week one done. Jabbing today.
7lbs down. (I've around 2.5 stone to lose). Water weight I know but never the less I'm thrilled.
No side effects, just been more thirsty so had lots of water, feeling less bloated and seem to have had more energy. The suppression was almost immediate too. Really happy.

Well done to everyone.

Amazing well done. It's second jab day for me too. I've lost 7 lbs. I have similar loss to you, well a little more (3 stone).

I need to eat way more protein & start some light exercise. I' plan to start an Aquafit class twice a week. So hopefully will help strengthen.

I only noticed yesterday I've lost weight this week. A little off my face and stomach. My stomach is the bain of my life. Really can't wait to see it gone.

Well done everyone on amazing loses & welcome to the new starters. X

Jab 3 today, lost 3.6 kg! Very happy until now. I’m on 2.5 mj, can I start 5mg after the 4th jab or do I still need to stay on 2.5mg?

I want to move to 5 mg after the 4th jab. But if weight loss is good there may stay longer. Someone told me 5 is really when kicks in, so I worry my body would adapt to 2.5 too quickly. But that's heresy & everybody is different. Xx

I have a friend who was managing great steady loss on 2.5, then went to 5 and found the side effects appeared (nausea and hair loss) and were very hard for her to cope with and so she went down again and remains on 2.5. She’s still losing steadily and feels and looks great. Everyone is absolutely different but also you don’t have to go up I don’t think.

Wingingit11 · 18/04/2026 12:07

@Rainboat if you have decent satiety / suppression at 2.5 I’d hold off for a month to avoid going up too quickly - gets really expensive and some people hang on for months ok

MyGardenDaisies · 18/04/2026 13:24

I’m planning on staying on 2.5 unless weightloss drops below 0.4kg per week for 2 consecutive weeks.

Relaxd · 18/04/2026 13:45

Jab 3 - took ages to bite the bullet but going ok. Strong suppression from day 1, to the point I’ve wondered if I should take less. Side effects relatively mild, nausea has calmed down but had to take some anti sickness tablets in first week. Lost 3.5kg in week one, haven’t weighed myself since as away but feel lighter and look more like old self in the face. Bust shrunk a bit (not a bad thing but keen to keep everything firm). Need to eat more protein (more anything frankly) and up the exercise. Will stay on 2.5 next month. Well done to everyone who’s on the journey!

Room for another one? You might have to shift up the bus a bit, my arse is still massive!

After 6 months dithering, I finally ordered last week, and the pen arrived today. I am really nervous to take it - not least because I’m worried about the online pharmacy I ordered from. They seem really nice and are registered by the GPhC, but not inspected. Am I being silly? Trust Pilot reviews are fine.

I have 30kg to lose. Menopause has done a real number on me and I am losing sleep about my future mobility and other health issues. My brother was large like me and had a stroke at my age then died 13 years later.

I need to lose this weight.

Any tips?

Wingingit11 · 18/04/2026 14:17

@3oldladiesstuckinalavatory welcome ☺️ I’m sure you won’t regret it, it’s pretty life changing. You do need a bit of will power but significantly less to feel in control!

Wingingit11 · 18/04/2026 14:18

@3oldladiesstuckinalavatory re nerves about taking - this is my second time on mj and I overthought it too both times! I’d recommend just grabbing it and jabbing - don’t put it off!

Farsideofthemoon · 18/04/2026 16:29

Some great early losses ⭐️ I find that seeing the scales move quickly really helps to keep me motivated. I’m also a second time user of MJ and would definitely recommend taking it steady with increasing your dose. I fear I may be one of the people who need to go low and slow because as soon as I tried to move up last year , even at 3.75 mg I started to have sporadic but horrible sickness.
That said, I have been feeling very little suppression since my first jab on Monday. I will probably do my second dose a day early and hope it impacts my appetite. I think it’s been a mixture of willpower and gallons of water that has enabled the 3lbs I have lost so far.
Enjoy your weekend everyone 😊

did you regain first time or maintained the loss and looking to lose more ?

likewhatyoudo · 18/04/2026 20:49

Hey everyone, enjoying reading your messages. I did my 3rd jab and 2nd weigh in this weekend.
I'm finding the injection process quicker and easier than I expected. It takes only a minute or two.

Good loss first week (mostly the water I drank to get my BMI to hit prescribing levels!). Approx 0.5kg second week, which isn't that much, but I suppose I'm pleased that I'm no longer gaining each week and it's a small but meaningful loss. I could probably increase the loss with some exercise. Hoping I will find he time and energy soon.

I feel a bit bored with less food and drink. Anyone else?

But I was feeling pretty miserable being heavy and gaining more each week. Menopause and wine were my downfall. I need to remember that!

Farsideofthemoon · 18/04/2026 22:50

@MyGardenDaisies I did 3 months and stopped because of the sickness and the price hikes. I had lost 2 st in that time and it’s taken me the 6 months since I stopped to regain 1 st. I will be 60 early next year and I really want to get to a weight/size where I will be able to feel good . MJ is capable of helping with the loss but the maintenance stage is often the challenge. That is what has always been the issue for me.

MyGardenDaisies · 19/04/2026 08:46

@Farsideofthemoon good luck! There’s maintenance threads here too for that phase which I hope to take part in for accountability

MyGardenDaisies · 19/04/2026 08:48

Morning!

After 6 days -3kg (-6.6lbs) so far! Very happy with the initial inflammation drop, I see it in my face!

Yesterday started to have some more appetite and cravings, but had self control and drank more water instead.
Excited for 2nd dose tomorrow morning!

pomegranatepie · 19/04/2026 08:53

Jab day today and I have lost 8.5 pounds, which is almost 4 kilos. I am absolutely delighted.
I know this will slow significantly, which is what I want, I'd love to lose about 2lbs a week ideally, but will be happy with a downward trend of any loss really.

I have been focusing on protein and fibre, eating well balanced delicious healthy food, which I am enjoying, and eating far smaller portions than usual.

No side effects, no food noise, not one sugar craving, which is astonishing, as I have had my period this week. I have only felt mildly hungry once this week, which went as soon as I drank some water. If this keeps up through the next three weeks I will stay on 2.5 (considering ordering a 5mg pen anyway and counting clicks).

It feels utterly liberating being free of the food noise, it's a revelation.

custardlover · 19/04/2026 14:37

I had a long-planned multi-generational family meal last night which had been moved from Christmas. It was in an expensive, tasting course restaurant with 10 dishes of rich Italian food. It was quite torturous - the food was delicious but I just didn’t want it, and while I did my best to limit my intake and avoid the richest courses plus no bread etc, I still had too much. I had one glass of wine and one glass of champagne and was up for hours in the night with digestion pain and (TMI alert) an urgent evacuation at around 4am.

I feel much better now and at least I have learnt a lesson!

MyGardenDaisies · 19/04/2026 15:22

Bless you @custardlover !

Hoe did you feel drinking whilst on Mounjaro? Any difference at all or fine? I don’t drink much and very rarely, but going dry for my treatment duration

The drinking itself was fine, normal. It was with a LOT of water and I had no wine refill so it really was just the two glasses, but I did suffer later and I’m sure the alcohol was a lot of do with it. And the cheesy truffle sauces.

BUT the bright side is that I feel completely fine now - very fast recovery.

Wingingit11 · 19/04/2026 21:19

I’ve eaten loads today on a Sunday roast social (well not really as didn’t want any tea etc ). Bring on 5mg asap 🤣🫣

ScreamingDelight · 19/04/2026 21:37

I had some (probably too much) chocolate this evening, oh dear the side effects were not pleasant at all. Lesson learnt

anchoviesanchovies · 19/04/2026 22:04

Can I join you? Had my first injection tonight, both excited and nervous. I’m self funding, went through a private GP. can’t really afford it but then realised I probably spend more currently on take-aways and wine…

Thepinkwave · 20/04/2026 07:47

If people want to change provider, on which week are you going to order? I don’t want to be left any day without. Should I wait for my old provider to contact me with their price and see if it is too expensive or do I run the risk to be left without medicine for few days if I then decide to apply without another cheaper pharmacy?

MyGardenDaisies · 20/04/2026 09:06

@Thepinkwave I am going to order from another provider once I’ve taken the 3rd jab. Just to be safe it’s with me on time.

Morning everyone ! How everyone doing?

Week 1 complete -3.5kg (-7.7lbs) 🎉
Just took the 2nd jab - took much quicker than first time haha

I am super happy with how it’s going, had fuzzy head for 2 days and then I’ve just been more thirsty than usual, no negative sideffects. Less bloated, skin clearer from eating better, more energy, no cravings, digestion like clockworks, hope this continues and I don’t have to go up in dose!

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 20/04/2026 09:17

@Thepinkwavei changed provided this time to Med Express and it took 5 days to be approved, 6 to arrive. I didn’t find the process smooth.

Week 5 for me and weigh day and I’ve lost a total of 6.5lb on 2.5. I had ordered the 5 dose but I’ve taken the golden dose this morning to stick it out another week before increasing. My appetite suppression has been great on the 2.5 apart from yesterday when I managed to demolish a kebab 🥴
