Sorry I haven't posted as I've been in hospital for a week with a really bad Diverticulitis flare up.
Hopefully home tomorrow and will be able to catch up.
Glad you all seem to be doing well.

newmonthnewme · 20/04/2026 11:18

Hi everyone, joining in as an April 26 starter. This is my second time on mounjaro -I used it last spring with great success but had to stop to have medical treatment, which is now completed and I’ve been given the go ahead to restart.

Restarted on Saturday and am looking forward to getting back into my smaller clothes. I also found mounjaro very helpful for brain fog and inflammation- it really helped my joints.

chocolateanddietcoke · 20/04/2026 12:16

Started yesterday! Joining the gang

Hi starting tomorrow so would like to join this April group. ☺️
Really encouraging seeing posts here.
Starting weight 12.7 BMI 30
Dinners and savoury foods are my downfall.Huge portions. Also wine, I've seen a lot of people on MN saying they stopped drinking too much, has anyone here noticed a difference?

we sound the same boat!!! Drop me a msg if you want to go through together. Also 30 BMI

NeedSleepNowPls · 20/04/2026 13:01

Hi everyone! How are we all getting on today?

I'm on day 4 and haven't been drinking enough water because my head is killing today, am trying to have regular sips now so the headache goes and my water intake is high enough! I've been using myfitnesspal but find I'm focusing too much on calories instead of what I'm eating nutritionally, so think I may just keep it for weekly weigh ins and hope the appetites suppression keeps my calories low enough to not need to track 🤞

Wingingit11 · 20/04/2026 13:21

@newmonthnewme I’m a restarter too☺️

pomegranatepie · 20/04/2026 15:46

Took my second jab last night, and I have absolutely zero appetite today. Had a protein smoothie for breakfast (protein powder, kefir, half a banana, blueberries a small blob of peanut butter and some milled mixed seeds for fibre) and I've just realised I forgot to have lunch! And am not remotely hungry. It's much stronger suppression than last week, which was pretty strong.
I am going to switch supplier from Voy, and signed up with cuva health, who are significantly cheaper, I saved myself £100 on a 5mg pen (which i may just take half doses of if this suppression keeps going).
Must remember to eat!

Thepinkwave · 20/04/2026 16:09

I experienced strong suppression too after the second one (i am 5th day of second week). I will stay at 2.5 mg.

ditsygal · 20/04/2026 16:40

Hi! Checking in and joining the bus as I have my first jab ready to do this evening. I'm nervous!

mounjaroatlast · 20/04/2026 17:35

Sat in the GP waiting room to see the nurse for my first jab…

Wingingit11 · 20/04/2026 17:58

I’m really crashing and burning in week three at 2:5. It’s feeling like water but guess I was on 15 before a break so maybe inevitable 🫣

Isabelle70 · 20/04/2026 18:10

I have the Dr tomorrow to check my bloods are ok and I can be prescribed.
My BMI is 35 so I presume I should be okay to take it.
Hearing it helps with inflammation, any good with arthritic big toes? Mine is really giving me gip this week.
Any good apps for tracking progress? Or what foods to eat?

mounjaroatlast · 20/04/2026 18:15

Had the first jab, a lot more simple then I thought.

138kg starting weight, so a long way to go, but feeling really hopeful and optimistic about it.

Been told to drink plenty of fluids and eat plenty of protein.

NeedSleepNowPls · 20/04/2026 19:01

I've just discovered the hard way what happens when you overeat 🫠 I thought my appetite was relatively normal today as I've needed a few snacks but just tried to eat a normal portion of dinner and my poor stomach is not happy! I didn't finish it but maybe that and the snacks were just too much. Makes me a bit nervous for the weekend as I've got an afternoon tea booked! Hopefully just picking at things should be safe?

Nutracheck is good

MyGardenDaisies · 20/04/2026 20:50

@mounjaroatlast hello! I’ve just done my 2nd jab today and my starting weight was 135.7kg, today 132.2kg. How tall are you?

I second Nutracheck for tracking (calories, fiber, protein, weight, BMI personally) much nicer UX than MyFitnessPal.

Morning all. My first pen is being delivered today. I intend to inject on Tuesday evenings as this works for my lifestyle.

Excited to wake up tomorrow and not eat thickly buttered toast 🤣

edited to add - i’m going away for a long weekend abroad in three weeks would you carry on or would you take a break week?

Fordy33 · 21/04/2026 07:00

@Nugg morning, I would carry on taking it during your weekend away, you might find that it wears off closer to the weekend if you take it on a Tuesday, or if by the third jab you haven’t had any side affects, you could take it a day early on the Monday

madeinthe80z · 21/04/2026 09:23

Hi all - I’m hoping to start soon but struggling to figure out how to choose a pharmacy! How did you decide? Cost is a big factor for me as I think my husband will join me for the ride as well so we need to choose wisely! I have asked chat got but the 2 cheapest and reputable ones it suggested are not in the monj list I have seen on here. Just seems to be a minefield!

Wingingit11 · 21/04/2026 09:27

@madeinthe80z monj is a good start, as you say think carefully what your driver is eg costs, rolls Royce service etc, though in my experience (second time now). The latter is much of a muchness beyond processing a delivery time provided you go with a registered pharmacy obviously. I’ve used Asda, oushk, iq doctor, pharmulous and am pretty happy with pharmulous now. They don’t offer codes particularly but you can see on monj their prices are pretty competitive and you can chose delivery date (which was importent for me as often out and particularly with summer coming up don’t want expensive drugs left in my safe place outside !) .

Hi!. Sadly I am only 5'3" tall, so I am very heavy. I am looking forward to being able to move around a bit easier, although some of my health issues won't go away.

Last night I ate a Tesco meal - chicken in lemon sauce with veg and new potatoes. I felt full before I finished, then felt stuffed all night.

Usually evenings are my worst enemy and I pick at stuff, a babybel, a small packet of crisps, a few maltesers, all that kind of snacky stuff. Last night I didn't touch a thing.

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 21/04/2026 11:50

@NeedSleepNowPlsim also in the overeating category today 🤢. I jabbed yesterday morning and had a roast dinner for my tea around 6pm and it’s laid heavy all night. Even now at nearly lunchtime im pretty certain it wants to come back up 🤮.
I’ve been on a walk to try take my mind off it. I never realised how hard it is to actually walk 10k steps in a day! I’ve done almost 3 miles this morning and still only 5k steps.

Isabelle70 · 21/04/2026 12:16

I have received my prescription and have my appointment with the nurse on Thursday for the first jab, they do it at the surgery.
It was good that I went to the dr and had bloods done as my vitamin d and calcium is low, so I have meds for that.

pomegranatepie · 21/04/2026 12:51

I am struggling to eat much, made myself a protein smoothie this morning and only managed half of it, and am going to make myself eat lunch, but even a small amount of food seems to fill me up massively. I will be on my feet all day tomorrow at work, so I am a little worried about getting dizzy and weak at this rate. Any good ideas for nutrient dense low volume meals?
