Wegovy or Mounjaro

Hi

I am new to WLI and have a choice between Wegovy and Mounjaro. I’ve done some research and it seems that Wegovy is cheaper but on average, side effects are worse. I know it’s on a case by case basis, but what would you recommend for a new person? I have chronic back pain if that is something to consider too.

If you can afford it without overstretching your finances, then I would suggest Mounjaro. If money is tight and affording the medication long term is an issue, then I would give Wegovy a try first before accepting the expense of Mounjaro.

You can be successful at losing weight on both, and side effects if you get any tend to settle over time.

Mounjaro can help with things like chronic pain and inflammation even before significant weight is lost. I think the same is true of Wegovy but perhaps not to the same extent.
