Dizziness at week 8

I’m just about due my 8th jab of MJ. Still on 2.5 and planning at least another month on it. Till now, my main side effects are always on day 3 with diarrhoea and exhaustion, then mostly no problems before or after that. Lost 17lbs so far. I’m eating 1500 cals a day, 120gms protein, drinking my water, having electrolytes etc etc. this week though I’ve developed the most horrendous dizziness. I feel quite nauseated at times too, though I think that’s a consequence of the dizziness. Oddly, it’s also only in the last week that I suddenly feel I’ve got real appetite suppression and early satiety. I know dizziness is a known side effect but everything I’ve read says it’s early on in treatment, not at this stage. I’ve got an appt with pharmacist tomorrow to discuss but has anyone experienced this? It’s freaking me out a bit.

What was your blood pressure like before you started? If it was low/normal, or already medicated to bring it down, you might find it's a bit too low now as MJ can and does act on BP to lower it.

I’ve checked it a few times this week and it’s sitting at around 112/60 so not really low - although a little lower than normal for me, I’m probably more often at 124/75. Pulse seems steady at about 60. I’m not diabetic but did do a fasting finger stab this morning for curiosity at it was 4.5 so everything seems healthy.

I’m certainly going to delay my next jab till after my consultation!

I’ve gone up in increments from 2.5 to 5 over the last 6 weeks and I’ve been dizzy in the mornings. Even though I’ve been on it since May last year so I know it’s the increase that’s caused it. At least I assume so, nothing else has changed. It only happens when I first get up and go for a wee. And occasionally if I’m on the sofa for a long stretch then get up.

This is common, I had it, just buy some glucose sweets, dextrose, keep them handy, can get tnem on Amazon, it’s low blood sugar.

by the way you shouldn’t be taking regular electrolytes, you will end up with too much potassium etc in your system and causing you damage. Treat with caution, it’s a social media trend that’s very damaging.

Oh and don’t delay or stop the meds, literally it’s just low blood sugar, it’s fine. Just ensure you get the sweets or have something sugary till you get them,
