It's great for India as they will likely see a lot of cheap versions availabe. Sadly, in the UK we'll have to wait until at least 2032 before the same is true for us.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, I’m not sure fhere are any Indian countries with the breadth and scale to transport to the uk. But it could be seen moving into closer markets.

Patents have fixed periods. They are longer in some countries than others. It means that generic versions can be made once the patents have ended, which makes them cheaper. But the generics cannot be sold into places the patent is still in place, so it won't be relevant to the UK before 2032.
