As my appetite goes I’m struggling with ideas particularly for lunches. If you’re on monjaro/WLI what are you having for lunch today ?

Not on it anymore but my go to was always hummus with carrot sticks

DBatteryBand · 15/03/2026 11:42

Usually chicken or salmon with salad. Today DH is cooking a roast for (nearly) all the women in my family, so I'll have whatever takes my fancy from what he dishes up.

When suppression was strong in my early MJ days, I'd have raw vegetables and hummus, like @aardvarkappeal

Always a greek yogurt bowl, strawberries, blueberries, chia, almonds, greek yogurt, alway managed to eat it when I was on it, and you can prepare them the night before, keep tha almonds separately so they don't go soggy.

I always eat normally, I avoid bread, over carby stuff or over fatty stuff, so protein, salads, veg, fruit etc,

if your appetite is going where you don’t fancy food you’re on too high a dose.

you should be able to eat a small healthy portion, feel full after. Get hungry for meals.

today I’m having marks and Spencer scotch egg with some veg. Sometimes if busy with work I have a Huel black. Lunch is quick and easy, so seafood, tuna, chicken etc with some veg or salad stuff,

dinner last night was garlic king prawns and rice, dinner tonight will be breaded pork chops and mixed veg.

WeAllHaveWings · 15/03/2026 11:55

Homemade thick ham and lentil soup or I would have protein (usually chicken or salmon) + salad (with an extra hard boiled egg on side)

MakeMineAMilkyTea · 15/03/2026 11:56

scone with clotted cream and jam

morbidcuriosity · 15/03/2026 12:01

Yesterday was a hot cross bun. Today is yoghurt with strawberries and raspberries.

Pigriver · 15/03/2026 12:05

Most days it's homemade soup to make sure I get the veg in.

On a Sunday it usually chicken and veg roast dinner.

TidyDancer · 15/03/2026 12:13

Houmous is a good shout, I try to focus on protein followed by veg so I usually do a salad. In the winter I might do a soup of some kind.

Fffreeeeezing · 15/03/2026 12:34

I rarely bother with lunch, usually just have breakfast and dinner. If you don’t fancy it, don’t have it!

fantasticoplastico · 15/03/2026 12:59

I ended up having corn cakes with smoked salmon and cottage cheese. I’ve got the fear of eating anything too rich and ending up with an upset stomach

In warm weather I will do salads - in the summer I like nectarine with feta plus mint leaves and cucumber and tomatoes etc. Or a Greek salad with olives and feta. Sometimes one with avocado and chorizo with charred corn. In colder weather, brown rice with kimchi and jammy boiled egg with veggies. Or scrambled egg on wholemeal toast perhaps with chilli, tomatoes and fresh coriander. I wfh so it's easy enough to put a nice lunch together. When I run out of mental energy, hummus with pita and carrot sticks, or just a plate of cheese and crackers and apple slices. Alternatively, reheated leftovers from dinner the night before.

OneCleverRubyBear · 15/03/2026 13:36

Today I have a 'Mission carb balance' wrap (I know some will say they are highly processed and they are probably right, but I have them every now and again for ease). In the wrap I have babyleaf salad, red pepper, red onion, cooked chicken breast in Mexican spices (batched cooked and put in freezer in 100g bags) and a small spoonful of 0% greek yoghurt mixed with piri piri sauce. On others days one of my go to lunches is soaked chia seeds, 200g fat free greek yoghurt, 14g cocoa powder, (optional) 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, served with raspberries and/or strawberries. If it don't have the protein powder in then I add a small amount of granulated sweetener.

LovesLabradors · 15/03/2026 14:06

Today I had scrambled egg on a small slice of wholemeal toast, after some Greek yoghurt for breakfast.
If my appetite is really suppressed, I'll have a bit of chicken & salad, or apple dipped in Greek yoghurt. I'm obsessed with Greek yoghurt.

PearlsTeapot · 15/03/2026 16:36

Today I had afternoon tea! But usually I have a protein bagel with cottage cheese and ready cooked chicken, my favourite is mango and lime. Tons of protein and very filling.

ShebaQueen · 15/03/2026 17:29

I normally have soup for lunch, although I'll start to plan alternatives for summer

IsItSnowing · 15/03/2026 17:47

I usually make a big pot of veg/bean soup and have that most days. I find it quite easy on the stomach especially when I don't fancy anything much.

autumnboys · 16/03/2026 16:34

I eat salad for lunch every day with either chicken, cottage cheese, gym kitchen sausages or similar. I sometimes have a scoop of the Zoe daily 30 on it.

DoleWhipDiva · 18/03/2026 07:31

Joe Wicks' PB & Jelly Smoothie is my go-to for days when i don't have much appetite - it's absolutely delicious and packed with good stuff and about 450 calories, takes 5mins to whizz up and i never have any trouble finishing it. The recipe is online if you google it.

GoldenCupsatHarvestTime · 18/03/2026 08:22

I usually had half a sandwich - tuna or egg mayo with salad on whole grain.
