Wegovy side effects

I have been approved for wegovy injections.

I just wondering how long it took people to experience side effects. Would they usually happen within a couple of days or longer?

I’ve just started wegovy (after hating mounjaro side effects) and I haven’t had any side effects yet. With mj it was instant headache, cold, hair loss, diarrhoea.

That’s very Unlikely! There’s no research evidence to suggest that MJ causes hair loss.

Losing too much weight too fast and not eating enough nutrients is known to affect the normal growth cycle and cause the hair to stop growing and shift to shedding. That will happen no matter what diet you’re on and far more likely if you’re doing a very low calorie diet!

But that’s got nothing to do with the Mounjaro.

I’m usually as regular as clockwork daily but found everything slowed down in week 1 and that’s continued. I had appetite suppression within days and found myself not snacking in the evenings after dinner without having to think about it. I’m only in week 5, but so far so good.

It’s literally written in the side effects on the leaflet as a short term side effect but sure, you know better than that obviously 🤣🙄

@SparklyTwinkleGlitter I've had hair loss on mj since month 3 and until month 14 and I only lost between 0.5-1lbs a week. As for nutrients I take liquid iron and multivitamins and collagen daily in a protein shake. I had blood tests done in December and everything is normal, iron included but it's at the bottom of the normal range. I've been anaemic in my 20s though. I switched to wegovy for 3 months recently and the hair loss stopped. I switched back to mj a month go and again lots of hair loss. It's definitely mj!

@Mysticmaiden can i ask why you switched back to mj?

@Mysticmaiden can i ask why you switched back to mj?

I was previously diagnosed prediabetic, possibly undiagnosed diabetic, high BP and cholesterol and had ibs before starting mj.
With mj all these issues went along with the symptoms. 2 months after switching from 10 to 1.7mg, my symptoms returned, I was craving carbs and sugar from day 1 but had good suppression for 2 months but after that strong hunger, inflammation, bloating, tummy pains, aching and painful hips and legs, mild constipation from day 1 (never had on mj even at 15mg). I had gained 2.5lbs in the last month from bloating. I didn't see the point in moving up to 2.4mg because the constipation wouldve worsened and it wasnt controlling my inflammation and I was worried my blood sugars would worsen so I switched back and all my symptoms went but my hair loss returned. Its a shame as it was great for my hair but I had too many health issues and pain that I couldn't risk staying on it. I figured it was fine for 2 months because I had mj in my system for that long.
After I switched back I'd lost 3lbs in 2 days probably water weight and then lost another 3lbs since and its only been 4 weeks back on it. My bmi is now 22.0.
