Does anyone else have bad gasto issues when injecting in the stomach? Iv been on 2.5mg for 3 months and finally moved to 3.75 before I go to 5. I usually inject in my leg but for some stupid reason I decided to inject in my stomach.

Ate too late last night which has caused me so much pain all day. This morning I genuinely thought I was dying lol.

iv had diarrhoea all day and horrific trapped gas.

really hoping if I inject in my leg again on Monday il be ok. 🥺

Following - exact same query here!

Isn’t it more likely to be the increase in dose rather than the injection site?

PearlsTeapot · 13/03/2026 18:19

I can't believe injection site makes a difference. It all goes in your body and if it did Eli Lilly would have reported on it by now.

Probably just that you went up to 3.75, I was super rough with diarrhoea when I went up.

I inject into my stomach and thigh. I don’t get any more/different symptoms depending on the site. It will be the increase of dose.

My semi research does show it makes a difference. It’s absorbed faster in the stomach

How can were subcutaneous injection site make a difference? Isn’t the change of dose more likely.

susiedaisy1912 · 13/03/2026 19:22

It will be the increase in the dose not the injection site

Wildgoat · 13/03/2026 21:25

What did you eat? You’re not even on a full lowest dose yet, which is 5, so it’s likely whay you ate.

Mysticmaiden · 13/03/2026 21:46

It will be the increase in dose, it's happened before to some who move up. Also fatty foods or heavy carbs can do that
