Of course I know there are other more important and pressing issues at hand but would appreciate some advice or any pointers.

I flew out to the UAE on 23rd February for what was going to be 5 days. Obviously we all know what has happened and I’m now unable to get back home. Have a tentative flight booking for 10th March

I’ve been in maintenance now for a year and I take between 5mg - 7.5mg a week. Last jabbed on 21st February and that was 7.5, to see me through what I thought was a 5 day break . Didn’t bring a pen with me as didn’t need to

I’m lucky enough to be in a nice hotel with loads of healthy food options and a well equipped gym. Yet I can feel that food noise creeping back in and I’m working more on willpower right now to keep myself in check

o really want to try and keep a sense of control and not spiral into an eating frenzy so would appreciate any hints or tips.

like I said, I know there is a lot going on right now and it’s not very relaxing sitting here with explosions coming when you least expect them so I think I’m looking for something I can control if that makes sense

@LilyBunch25 don’t see what not? I’m asking for a contact number for a licensed pharmacy not the local drug dealer

No not disputing that, just wasn't sure on MN policy re

Lower your carb intake if you haven't already, to keep your blood sugar even (which is what mounjaro does)

Or be smarter about your carb food choices - have a look at glucosegoddess. She shares a few tips on how to reduce blood glucose (sugar) levels - e.g. go for a 30 minute walk after eating, always eat protein first, etc.

Thanks all. Managed to get a WhatsApp number and purchased some with ease.

Good. I wondered if you were focusing on the possible food noise as a distraction from what's going on around you, I think I would have done, something you might be able to fix. I hope you get home soon.

I had to come off for medical reasons and it took three weeks for the full hunger and food noise to go back to normal. I had enough suppression until then to use willpower, and continued to lose weight.

Last jab was mid-Jan and I've only gained back one pound. Trying to eat healthily but definitely giving in to sugar cravings too much. I think you'll be fine until you're home.

@murasaki you’re probably right. I’m extremely stressed tbh 😞

You poor thing, in such a horrible stressful situation. I'd use the time to get used to the gym again- even if you just go for 15 mins you'll feel the benefit!! And eat as best you can. I know we all think it, but weight gain isn't the end of the world, you can shift it again when you're home. Good luck.

Glad you got some. Good luck and have fun getting going at the gym!
