What dose are you maintaining on?

And what dose did you need to go up to?

I’ve 4lbs to go, been a slow loser, needed to go up to 15mg which I’ve been on since July and really been bumping around the same weight since then.

Interested in opinions/ experiences - thanks !!

I’m interested too. I’ve been at 10st 7 for a year now. It’s 3lb under the top end of my “healthy” weight. Ideally I’d like to be 10 stone but just can’t shift any more. I’ve lost 4 stone altogether so I’m delighted with that. I’m on 12.5 currently but worried about moving down the doses. I’m not taking it every 7 days though. Trying to leave gaps. Honestly being a bit haphazard.

farfallarocks · 03/03/2026 14:12

Currently maintaining on 1.6 ( doing less clicks!) but more tempted by everything!!

BlueLimes · 03/03/2026 14:15

I’ve lost 3 stone and bmt is 22.5 but I’m very small framed and still have weight to lose off stomach and upper body. It’s been very slow - I started January ‘25.

@bluewhitebluewhite did you move to 15mg?

@BlueLimes , I lost six stone which on my 5’ 1” frame is a lot. My BMI is now just over 20 and I’m nearly 63 if that’s relevant to anyone.
I did get up to 15mg and am currently coming back down the doses, presently taking 7.5mg but hoping I can stabilise on 5mg eventually. I wasn’t a particularly fast loser with an average weight loss of about 1.5Lbs a week. I’ve noticed a manageable increase in food noise so far with a sudden interest again in sweet things which I had lost. Im pretty sure I couldn’t maintain without continuing on the medication.

No- 12.5 is the highest I’ve done.

BlueLimes · 03/03/2026 14:50

@bluewhitebluewhite would you consider 15mg as final push?

@Icanthinkformyselfthanks amazing loss !! I lost lb a week - also think I’ll always need to taje it too, I’d be happy to maintain on 5mg.

I didn’t go any higher than 10mg

Have been maintaining on 7.5mg since November

Mealsare · 03/03/2026 15:40

I didn't go any higher than 3.75, been maintaining on 1.25,lost 5 1/2 stones since Feb last year.

Notsosweetcaroline · 03/03/2026 15:49

I went up each month till I hit ten then stayed there till I hit goal, which took several months, I lost 6 and a half stone in total. I’m now bmi 20 and dress size 8,

I did one extra month on ten, whilst reverse dieting, ie upping cals by a 100 or so a week, then moved to 7,5 for a month, then 5, and that’s my maintence dose, for a year now, my weight is incredibly stable

if it goes up a couple of pounds, ie following a major holiday I nudge my dose up, ie do 6mg instead of 5 for a week or two, then go back down to 5,I just inject twice and change needles count clicks.

I get hungry for meals, eat a full and balanced diet, workout regularly, eat my protein, and don’t really get tempted by snacks, my portions are a healthy size.

can I eat more, yes, absolutely, I do on holiday or meals out etc, but it is a choice if that makes sense, rather than an uncontrollable urge to do so.

for me it’s normal now. It still requires thought, but I feel in control.

I would say though I’m staying on not just for that reason, but I want all the health benefits the drugs bring, heart, kidney, liver health, reduced cancers etc and my blood test results were all very healthy at the end of last year. A major improvement, so as much as it is annoying to pay for it, I am doing so for that reason, to invest in my own health,

Overthemoun · 03/03/2026 15:57

I went up to 7.5 and now down to 2.5 and I’m trying to push this by a day every time I jab so this one will be 9 days I think. Going okay, appetite bigger but manageable. Went on holiday and gain 2lbs. Lost just over 3 stone from Jan to Sept so quite a slow loser.

Overthemoun · 03/03/2026 15:58

I would like to come off completely but only if I can still be in control. If jabbing fortnightly is enough I’ll carry on as it’s not a massive financial burden

PurpleCoo · 03/03/2026 21:22

I have been accidentally maintaining for about 3 months now. More accurately it's a plateau. I only need to lose 1-1.5kg to get into the healthy weight range. Although I am not losing weight, I am doing weights and Boditrax has me losing fat and gaining muscle, albeit very slowly, e.g this last month it's been +.7kg of muscle and -.5kg of fat, so technically a .2kg gain, but it's expected that there will be some fluctuations. The muscle gain and fat loss is consistent for the past few months though.

I went up to 8.75 from 7.5 3 weeks ago and it's not made any real difference to weight loss. I am thinking of going up to 10, and I am maintaining on 8.75. I just want to lose another 2.5kg, but I am just maintaining, which is frustrating.

My diet/appetite feels like what I would want it to be like when I am deliberately trying to maintain.

About two months

Tammy214 · 04/03/2026 20:38

7.5 was the first dose i had difficulty on, i am onto my 2nd 7.5 but will go up next time

hooplahoop · 04/03/2026 21:55

Interesting how many of us ( am including myself ) seem to have been plateauing / maintaining accidentally . I haven’t lost since December :( need to go up to 10mg but not sure if the higher dose will make Much of a difference

Boots89 · 04/03/2026 22:00

I'm 10 stone. Started 17 stone Jan 25. Worked up to 12.5mg and have come back down to 7.5mg. Been on 7.5mg for anout 3 months. Would like to be 9 stone 7 but my body doesn't seem to want to shift much more!

Buscake · 04/03/2026 22:09

SW 96kg
GW 65kg
CW 63kg
height 167cm (5’6)
current BMI 22.5

i started March 2025. Lost just over 5stone. Highest dose was 12.5 but have been coming down by 2.5 every month since then. My final (?) jab at 2.5 is tomorrow and I am going to try without for a bit and see how I’m getting on.

I first hit 63kg Nov 2025 and have managed to maintain that since. Food noise is back, temptation for snacks is back. But I have changed my eating habits so much. I am still tracking calories and being aware and mindful of what I’m consuming. I exercise every day! So the lifestyle changes are helping I think. I couldn’t have reached this point without the drugs. I am aware that I may struggle far more without it, but I figure it’s worth a go to see how I get on. And I can always start it up again if there is a huge difference. But I think having managed over Christmas and with extreme life stress (divorce etc) I owe it to myself and my finances to try on my own. We’ll see!

GloiredeDijon · 04/03/2026 22:13

As I had to move up doses to 15mg I can’t see that I could maintain on anything lower than 15mg.
12.5mg had stopped helping me, no suppression at all anymore.
Whilst I haven’t as yet tried dropping back down, it makes no sense to me that a lower dose would be anything but a waste of money.
I appreciate it may help me get used to the hunger if I withdraw gradually but that is all.

Focussingonme · 05/03/2026 02:34

I am a bit confused with how spread out doses to less than weekly or less than the pens dose by counting clicks works - if you are doing every 10 days or 2 weeks do you now only get 2/3 doses out of each pen, or are you using each pen beyond the 30 days open rule?? And if you are doing less than the prescribed dose, is that the same? Do you get say 6/7 doses from one pen weekly and use it beyond the 30 days?

I'm on 5mg, have reached goal but cannot figure out maintenance at all. Ideally i'd like to wean off it totally over time but want to do a gradual decline.

Rather than injecting fortnightly and experiencing large peaks and troughs, why not use half the dose every 7 days? The total will be the same but the level in your body much more constant.

If you haven’t reached your goal weight, why would you inject haphazardly rather than every 10 days? It sounds like this is why you can’t shift that last few pounds. I’d take it regularly then once at goal I’d reduce the dose but stick to every seven days.

bluewhitebluewhite · 05/03/2026 07:31

@HappyWineDayI have reached my goal weight. I’m a healthy weight. I’m over 60 and this feels comfortable. It’s only now that I’ve got here that I’m thinking an extra few pounds would be nice for a buffer. It’s not essential which is why I think mentally I’m not concentrating on it like I did when weight loss was essential.

I understand. Every time I reach my goal I think an extra couple of pounds would be nice. I think I'm now about a stone below what my initial goal was! Definitely not going any further now though.

BlueLimes · 05/03/2026 12:03

It’s difficult to navigate. I’ve a lot of tummy fat still otherwise I’d be happy with my weight. It’s completely out of proportion.

I’ll stick at 15 and try to lose 7lbs and increase strength training.
