Wegovy V Mounjaro

Been on Wegovy for well over 2 years. On triple dose 7.2 mg. Only lost 2 stone overall and don"t think its really curbed my appetite. Maybe i am just a 'non responder' - I really don' know.
Just got my first order of Mounjaro as I have read it works differently. Anyone out there who has tried both and found one better than other?

Sorry should have mentioned- 2.5 on mounjaro. I'll have to leave it a couple of weeks as travelling on a long haul trip and don't want to get new side effects etc if I am in middle of jungle.

Just started Mounjaro. Definitely not as hungry but it’s more expensive.

Not me, but my sister tried Wegovy first and didn't notice much, then switched to Mounjaro where she did lose quite a lot, so I think for some people it is a lot more effective, or the effects are more dramatic.

She is having to stop now though as the price went up to over £300 a month for her dosage.

I lost 4 stone on Mounjaro and stopped because of the massive price increase. over the course of about four months put a stone back on. I went on to Wegovy. I didn't feel like I had any suppression at all Worked my way up the doses to be sure it wasn't going to take a higher dose for it to work. Although I didn't regain any more weight I didn't lose any either. I started back on Mounjaro on nought point 5 . and I've lost about half a stone in a month and I'm just able to make healthier choices and not snack. it's like it switches a button in terms of what I want to eat instead. I'm having price compare all the time go for offers and I'm trying to stay on a lower cheaper dose. I still have three and a half stone to lose to get into the correct BMI But I don't think I'm going to go quite as low as that.
my cholesterol is right down and I am no longer pre diabetic.

Hopefully MJ is more successful for you with the dual agonists. It has been amazing for me, although I was fortunate that I responded immediately.

As you are on the lowest dose of MJ, it might take longer for you to feel the effect, especially after being on the max dose of Wegovy previously.

I've seen people online switch the other way and start Wegovy above the minimum dose, as their time on MJ counted at least a little.

Best of luck and safe travels!

I started on mounjaro and lost 5 stones but following the price increases switched to Wegovy. Wegovy doesn't seem to work well for me- I had side effects but few positive effects and my weight loss plateaued. I have just switched back to mounjaro today. Fingers crossed it works again as I still have at least 3 stones to lose to get to a healthy weight. Good luck!

@Hopthegoodgod What were you eating during the last 2 years on Wegovy and were you calorie counting too?

Hope you have a great trip. Sounds exciting!
