Was on Mounjaro, stopped 6 months ago due to price hike. Now have put around a stone on. BMI 28 but also have hypertension. Can't risk putting anymore weight on so now I'm trying wegovy but having to start back at the start (had been on 15mg mounjaro previously and titrated down quickly)

No idea how it will go tbh. Took Injection yesterday, can say I've felt much different today. Tried clothes on that I bought before Christmas and just looked like miss piggy 😭

Hoping someone pops along with positive stories who've switched from mounjaro 🤞 🤞 🤞

I switched but juniper allowed me to maintain the equivalent dose.

worked well for me saved ££ and all seems similar

That's good to know. How have you found it? You lost much more?

15 stone 10 to 14 stone 8 on moj

then flipped to 1.7 wegovy.

and now 13 stone 10 weeks later

mynamefor2025 · 22/02/2026 21:56

How long did that take you on mounjaro? Wishe I'd stuck it out to get to goal weight.

Any differences with wegovy? Drink plenty of water and track what I'm eating?

Thank you. Really hope it works. Since Christmas I've struggled with cravings. Did keto for a whole week but then went on holiday and was impossible to stick to when I was away.

I completely relate to this. I was on Mounjaro too and had to stop because of the price increase. I’d worked my way up to a higher dose as well, so starting Wegovy from the beginning felt really frustrating.

Honestly, the first couple of months felt like I’d completely stagnated. I didn’t feel much happening and the scales weren’t really moving, which was disheartening after being on 15mg Mounjaro before. But once I reached the 1mg dose on Wegovy, that’s when I started noticing the weight coming off again.

It’s strange, I don’t know if it’s placebo or just finally reaching the right dose, but after those first few months I genuinely feel like I’m seeing similar progress to what I had on Mounjaro.

It’s so hard when you try clothes on and feel rubbish about it, I’ve definitely had those moments too 😭 but try to give it a bit of time while you titrate up.

Really hope it starts moving for you soon 🤍

Did you move up the doses quite quickly? I see medicine market place seems OK price for the higher doses. I'm with boots now to get the discount so hoping I can change over quickly.

I lost around 3 stone in aa year with mounjaro, year before that I lost 3 stone on my own but I was struggling to keep going.

Other people I know who go on mounjaro and wegovy, the weight just drops off them but I digress. Just hope to get back to losing something at least.

I started from the lowest dose because I wasn’t sure whether jumping straight in at a higher dose would be the best move for me. I just followed the standard plan from 0.25mg. I’m fairly sure the dosing between Mounjaro and Wegovy isn’t directly comparable, that’s just my assumption, so I didn’t want to guess and overdo it.

I’ve lost about 4 stone in total since starting these medications, so I also had to remind myself that the rate of loss will probably slow down a bit compared to when I was heavier. That helped me manage my expectations during those first few months when it felt like nothing was happening. I’m on 1.7mg now and will probably move up to 2.4mg next month.

And 3 stone in a year is a huge achievement 👏 It’s easy to look at others and feel like it’s quicker for them, but weight loss isn’t linear and everyone responds differently. The important thing is you know your body can do this, you’ve already proven that
