How have you found MJ this time? I've seen reports that people haven't found it as effective after using WG for a few months.

I stayed in MJ, but did reduce the dose for a bit from 10mg to 7mg and then did a bit of trial
With lower dose more frequent. Basically weight loss slowed but back up to 9mg and feeling effective again now

@Shazzabelle and @Reginaphalangeeeee are you going to do the blood test? I'm going to do it despite it being only a few weeks since I had full bloods done by my GP. I'll be interested to see how accurate they are.

Yep I think I will. Not sure why I have been stalling on it. Know it doesn't need to be fasting but remember some need to get it to post office by a certain time.

Nah cause then they would tie me in .....I can't understand when I wrote to them they were swamped with people leaving but at was ages ago . I would love to see my results ....but doc will prob do some , he said some other the things on my 6 month one were like high on she med but he said they were nothing to worry about ?? . My thyroid in particular sooooo low on their test but I had it redone and is border line ??? ( I think it was low was ages ago ) so I will have to go back as I have to get it kept an eye on now .

What do you mean tie you in?
I basically never responded to them imand didn't renew pens. I still get reminder emails.
12 months bloods was part of the deal 🤷‍♀️

Reginaphalangeeeee · 24/02/2026 07:10

BestDIL · 23/02/2026 12:39

That makes sense. The only issue I had was with cholesterol which had gone up but not mega high. I also have CKD3 (Mild Chronic Kidney Disease - mild/chronic - oxymoron!!) which I don't understand why I have it! I'm not a drinker and haven't been since my 30's - I'm now 60. Apparently if you have raised cholesterol, that can make CKD worse. My GP put me on statins and that has reduced the cholesterol considerably which in turn will help with the CKD.

This is new? Had your cholesterol come down anyway with the MJ on 6 months bloods?

Cause I "left "the deal in September or whenever the price change from £99 happened ....it's just that they still have me on app and sent the blood test , their error .to get results I would have to check in then ....then they would notice i shouldn't have recieved it 🤷‍♀️

Apparently cholesterol had been slightly raised for a while and I’ve had CKD for a while. Went up slightly on MJ. I rarely visit my GP as I’m generally healthy but I should have paid more attention to blood test results.

Thought id do a weigh in post lol 1.1 lb off today happy with that as been on this journey over a year 😊
4 stone 9.7lb down

BestDIL · 24/02/2026 14:07

I've been ill overnight so have “lost” 2lbs in one day. Temporary I know but as it stands this morning I’m at 11st 1lbs which is 1lbs from target.

I have actually moved my own goal post and will stop around 10.5st as that will put my BMI at 23. My weigh in day is Thursday so I should have stabilised weight wise by then. These last few lbs have been a real struggle which they usually are but I feel like I’ve been hovering in the same place for ages. Just looked at Shotsy which tells me I haven’t. I have been messing with the doses, tried 4.1mg which was 1x2.4mg and 1x1.7mg but after two weeks I felt awful so went back to 2.4mg. Then this week I took the remaining two 1.7mg doses so 3.4mg. My overnight sickness I am sure is a direct result of the higher doses. This week I will be going back to 2.4mg and sticking with that. I have a stock of pens in my fridge as I kept getting early refills at the £99 so have 2 x 2.4mg pens and 1 x 1.7mg pens which will give me and extra three months worth of jabs as I’ve signed back up for another 12 months with SheMed.

OP posts:
Shazzabelle · 24/02/2026 14:14

Oh thats not so good defgo think go back to proper dose . You are so nearly there ur new target too just keep ambling along . The pens won't go along in the long run for maintaining x

BestDIL · 02/03/2026 10:16

Thought I would just check in to let you all know that I have finally reached my target! Hit it on Saturday. So my stats are:

Starting Weight - 17st 5lbs
Weight lost before WLI - 1st 7lbs
Today's Weight 11st
Total Loss 6st 5lbs (40.3kg)

So 40 bags of sugar lost - I honestly can't lift that now so how the hell did my poor knees cope with carrying that around everyday!

Now to maintain.........

kittykarate · 02/03/2026 14:15

Well done @BestDIL !

I'm at my 'personal' target, which was under 65kg by March 2026 (a ski holiday!). I now need to think about where I go from here when it comes to maintenance. My loss has really slowed down (0.1kg), so it almost feels I'm adjacent to my maintenance dose.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 05/03/2026 09:07

Amazing @BestDILand @kittykarate
I am nowhere near maintainance but apparently my dose and eating right now is not far from it 😩

I find it so scary to think, I have at least 2 stone more to loose.
I am 40kg total loss overall.

BestDIL · 05/03/2026 15:40

@Reginaphalangeeeee 40kg is amazing. You’ve broken the back of your weight loss and are on the homeward track. If I remember correctly you are on MJ, aren’t you? Probably need to up your dose to get the losses going again.

Kaggi9 · 05/03/2026 17:50

Looks like everyone is doing brilliantly!

I’m a bit below my goal now, but kind of liking where I am. I’ve signed up with SheMed for another 12 months, but they’ve said that if my BMI goes below 20 my contract ends.

Starting weight: 17st2
Current weight: 9st9
Total loss: 7st7

Trying to find the right balance to maintain now!

Thanks @BestDIL
Haha considered need for dose increase but actually started micro dosing (split 10mg dose every 4 days as bad side effect. No loss so worked back up. On 9mg now. Really can't afford to go above 10mg though.

Idontknownowwhat · 06/03/2026 00:10

Can i ask what's the "accepted for further 12 months" some of you have mentioned please?
I'm on month 13 with shemed, and I havent heard anything about a further 12 months?
I just know that I have a new price on the wegovy of £129 I believe it is...but I've been paying that for a few months now.
I wish communication were slightly better from them sometimes.

It all depends on when you first started and whether you were part of the Study Group. If you started in January 2025 or before then you will have been part of the 99ers Club. Anyone who was part of the study (also called the Adherance Program) has been offered a further 12 months at discounted rates. However, you are tied in for 12 months and from what I have seen so far, there is no way of getting out of it except for medical reasons. The price for the next 12 months for doses up to and including 2.4mg is £129. You say you are paying £129 so it sounds like you are in this group, then you are tied in for a further 12 months. I don't think there would have been any question over whether people would have been accepted for a further 12 months, just a figure of speech maybe.

When you got to the end of the 12 months, did you have to complete a longer questionnaire? In there it asked for a commitment for the next 12 months.

Hope that helps!

Edited to add:

I think communication is their main issue. I have seen loads of contradicting emails on facebook where people have asked the same question but had very different answers. Very frustrating as nobody really knows what's going on.

When I spoke to them to cancel, they said one of the accepted medical reasons to leave was reaching a healthy BMI. But by then I'd already found an alternative provider.

Interesting, I've been told that when you reach a healthy BMI you go onto maintenance. I am already on maintenance and figuring that I will take 6 months of maintenance and then 6 months of tapering to come off.

Hi All
Happy Easter to everyone. Just a quick check in to see how everyone is doing.
I am still in maintenance using 2.4mg but noticed that over the last two weeks I have gone up by about 1lb a week. I really need to have a good couple of weeks and stay away from the eggs!

OP posts:
kittykarate · 02/04/2026 15:13

I've had a few good weeks.. and then a bad week where I gained a kilo. So yes, damn you Easter Treats!

Reginaphalangeeeee · 02/04/2026 15:20

Hi all.
Im just a slow looser right now. It’s taken over month to loose 1Kg 😩
In that time I have begun HRT and wonder if a little water retention but I am also exercising more.
There is more I could do to improve eating as I am not being strict enough I guess but would say calories still under. I am cautious of being too restrictive and struggling to keep it going so it’s a balance of if want to loose more (I really do) and some tougher choices (like stop with the bread)!

BestDIL · 02/04/2026 18:25

Oh yes @Reginaphalangeeeee bloody bread is my downfall! Oh and crisps. The only good thing is that I only have a fraction of what I would have had in the past!

OP posts:
Reginaphalangeeeee · 02/04/2026 20:01

Yes bread, but any baked goods really. I love crisps, but managing to steal just a few from the kids rather than a pack to myself.
I love chocolate 😩 so Easter is tough to stay restrained.
i normally take my MJ dose Sunday.
i’ll be away Friday to Monday and trying to decide if I take it early to help me control myself? Or a day late on return and enjoy the chocolate???
