Absolutely bizarre experience ordering from NuLife. Anyone else? e

Semi-regular on the WLI board, but NC'd for this.

This is long. TLDR short version below

So, like many/most, I do the price comparison before ordering a pen
This time NuLife came out as amongst the lowest for me, so i ordered with them for the first time.

Jumped through all the usual hoops, sent the photos, etc.
They like to book you in for a videocall before they approve the first pen.
So I booked that in.
Then I realised I needed to change that appointment time, so i cancelled and rebooked it.

Then got emails that seemed to say the 2nd appointment was cancelled automatically by them as it was a double booking.

So went back to their website, which was the order confirmation page (this is the image, if i manage to attach it), got the customer service email and pinged over a quick email to ask if the appointment was confirmed.

Next morning, saw email had bounced back delivery failure, no such email address.
Called the number on the pic, and as I dialed, my heart just sank into my boots.
Obviously, no such number!

Called my bank, who said they are not on their list of not legitimate organisations. I thought their page had been cloned or something. Couldn't stop the payment (debit card), so just cancelled my card.

Was really panicking. Nearly posted on here to see if anyone else had been scammed by them, but thought I'd wait n see how it played out first.

Come the appointment time, I joined the call, just to see if anyone turned up, really.
Video call with a nice lady who got me to stand on the scales, and then a phone call with a pharmacist who asked me the usual type questions.
No one asked me for more bank details.

So on Sunday when I had a bit of time, I sent a long email just telling them what had happened. Not nasty, just factual.
Within 3 hours my phone went.
It was only a director of Nulife 😲😲😲
The LOVELIEST man.
Explained they'd done some IT upgrade or maintenace or something.
I've NEVER had customer service like that.
He was horrified about my experience, and so grateful I'd alerted them to the issue

Anyway, the pen arrived today (and with a free tape measure!).

So if anyone had an odd experience ordering from them last week, they're legit!

TLDR:- NuLife had something wrong with their website last week.
But I can confirm they're a legitimate company.

I was looking for posts on Nulife and came across this.

I've just ordered from them and found them lovely too! I spoke with Fatima on a videocall, one-way, so I didn't see her. She went through the weight, ID check, etc. Then a little later the pharmacist called my mobile. He explained they are specialists for maintenance and we had a chat about my progress over the last almost 2 years and plans for continuing my maintenance.

They want to check in by phone every couple of months initially, but hopefully this will reduce once they are satisfied that I am doing well. I think the concern is that I'm BMI 21 or just a tad under, so they don't want me dropping below 20. (I'm mixed ethnicity so it's not low but mid-healthy range of 18.5-23.)

It's Easter, so we agreed to delay delivery until afterwards. I hope I get a tape measure too!

They probably only have about four people working there so it’s not so surprising that the director of an online company would call you. They also have the infamous Great Portland Street address that hundreds of businesses use. I’m not saying at all that they aren’t a legit company or a great company but they are likely a small one.

Well, I wish them luck. I was an early customer and supporter of Pharmulous when most people online were unsure of how legit they were.

I still think Pharmulous are fab and am so pleased to see their growth! However, I was looking for an alternative, cheaper prescriber and I hope more people are willing to give Nulife a try too.

I didn't see their registered address, but the phone call I received was from a much more northern town - not implying that's dodgy, just business reasons. I'm certainly happy to support a small business, if that is what they are.
