Semi-regular on the WLI board, but NC'd for this.
This is long. TLDR short version below
So, like many/most, I do the price comparison before ordering a pen
This time NuLife came out as amongst the lowest for me, so i ordered with them for the first time.
Jumped through all the usual hoops, sent the photos, etc.
They like to book you in for a videocall before they approve the first pen.
So I booked that in.
Then I realised I needed to change that appointment time, so i cancelled and rebooked it.
Then got emails that seemed to say the 2nd appointment was cancelled automatically by them as it was a double booking.
So went back to their website, which was the order confirmation page (this is the image, if i manage to attach it), got the customer service email and pinged over a quick email to ask if the appointment was confirmed.
Next morning, saw email had bounced back delivery failure, no such email address.
Called the number on the pic, and as I dialed, my heart just sank into my boots.
Obviously, no such number!
Called my bank, who said they are not on their list of not legitimate organisations. I thought their page had been cloned or something. Couldn't stop the payment (debit card), so just cancelled my card.
Was really panicking. Nearly posted on here to see if anyone else had been scammed by them, but thought I'd wait n see how it played out first.
Come the appointment time, I joined the call, just to see if anyone turned up, really.
Video call with a nice lady who got me to stand on the scales, and then a phone call with a pharmacist who asked me the usual type questions.
No one asked me for more bank details.
So on Sunday when I had a bit of time, I sent a long email just telling them what had happened. Not nasty, just factual.
Within 3 hours my phone went.
It was only a director of Nulife 😲😲😲
The LOVELIEST man.
Explained they'd done some IT upgrade or maintenace or something.
I've NEVER had customer service like that.
He was horrified about my experience, and so grateful I'd alerted them to the issue
Anyway, the pen arrived today (and with a free tape measure!).
So if anyone had an odd experience ordering from them last week, they're legit!
TLDR:- NuLife had something wrong with their website last week.
But I can confirm they're a legitimate company.
