Bought a 10mg MJ pen but think I’m better on 7.5mg: can I use 40 clicks x 5 weeks of the 10mg pen? (Or even 6 weeks?)

As stated, got 10mg pen but having second thoughts and want to remain on 7.5mg MJ. I have extra needles. Can I get five 40-click doses out of the ten pen? (Possibly even six doses if I wrench it to ‘golden dose’?)

does the pen stop working after four uses, or does click-counting still work?

7.5mg is 45 clicks (7.5/10 x 60 clicks). Each pen has 240 clicks so you could get 5 full 7.5mg doses. If you use 40 clicks, you’d be taking 6.66mg and you could get 6 doses without the golden dose.

It stops after 240 clicks. Which could be 4 x 60, or 45 x 5 for five lots of 7.5mg. For any more than 5 lots of 7.5mg you’d need to use a syringe to extract the remaining liquid and you’d be over the 30 day usage.

People who are very thoroughly following the instructions to the letter will say not to. It's entirely up to you whether you take the risk (I do and have been fine for over a year).
If you want to do it very easily and accurately buy some syringes from a medical supplier (not amazon).
