Can I lose mounjaro to lose 5 or 6 kilos?

Feeling a bit heavier than usual due to not exercising at all and not eating properly, plus I am 49 so probably heading towards menopause. My usual weight over the years is around 58-60 kilos but have a feeling I might be around 63, or even 64 or 65. I have no willpower at all plus I don't eat much anyway as hectic lifestyle. Can I use mounjaro to shed a few pounds and get back to 58kg? I am 5ft 6.

What an odd thread. Every day there is a new one,

JournalistEmily · 21/01/2026 16:43

No lol. You arent overweight!

Lardychops · 21/01/2026 16:44

Autumnrabbits · 21/01/2026 14:31

I know quite a few people who lied about their BMI in order to get it.

Yes couple my friends did, layered up and also knocked few inches of their height to rack up the BMI
Both just to get a kick start for a few months. Lost the weight on low doses as I recall.

Motnight · 21/01/2026 16:44

Another thread purposely started to criticise WLI and those fatties in them.

So it was a pointless exercise for you having spent the money and not changed the habits, as a PP has already suggested.

A quick that didn’t work?

Why are you bothered? Grin It’s not your money. Had a lovely time regaining the weight, thank you!

I literally only commented on post to say it’s not difficult to be prescribed at a lower BMI if you are prepared to lie. Not saying it’s a good idea or advising others do it!

Tomorrowmorning · 21/01/2026 16:57

Yes you can lie, many do, is it a good idea? Probably not, you will lose a lot of weight quickly, but a lot of the time if you tweak your diet you can drop water weight, which can be up to half a stone in itself, I'd try that first.

Wow. You use rhe meds to drop weight then regain and love it and rhen use the drugs to drop again, so I assume you can do it again,

I mean it’s your life money and body, but I don’t think many wish to be that disordered, I certainly don’t.

Jfieobabco · 21/01/2026 17:02

If you have the money to go private in London, you can do it! I did it to shed a few kg I wasn’t able to shift! Best decision I made!

How is it criticising them? It’s criticising the people who are a healthy bmi and want to use them.

Sorry I meant most people posting.
I can’t see any criticism of wli in general from anyone

You’re a normal weight! Of course not!

Thanks all. Sounds like it's not worth the risks/side effects so guess I will have to start exercising and eating properly if I want to lose weight.

🤣🤣🤣 you do realise this is what people on mj do...its not a magic fix!!! I've lost 7 stone on mj in 12 montjs and certainly haven't eatwn crap!!

Seems like this is just a rage bait post to me.

At no point did I suggest anything I have done is a good idea, or suggest others do it. Delighted for you that you don’t wish to partake in such a disordered eating pattern. What a virtuous and superior little soul you are.

What as I don’t want to drug myself to lose weight then gorge to regain and repeat rhe cycle. If that makes me virtuous and superior to you in your eyes so be it. Enjoy.

I know quite a few people who lied about their BMI in order to get it.

My provider made me send in a video which showed my body and then scale weight.

You don’t need it for 6kg when you are well in the healthy weight zone

You have to exercise and eat properly on mounjaro, it doesnt melt away the fat 😂

Chinsupmeloves · 21/01/2026 17:28

Well you can but, as you said, you will have to lie as your weight and bmi are fine.

I couldn’t be less bothered but it concerns me that you can’t see the disordered eating for yourself and how unhealthy that is for you.

And I come from a position in believing that Mounjaro is a fantastic tool, it has helped many many people that I know to re-engage and help them to a healthier body and mindset. What you suggest above is none of those things and the reason that the guidance is in place.

If you want to lose the weight and keep it off and it helps you achieve this then brilliant but what you describe above is just another “form of Bulimia” and not looking after yourself.

please look after yourself and your body 💐

Harley Street Skin. Super quick and easy, with monthly in-person follow ups.

AgnesMcDoo · 21/01/2026 19:08

No chance.

Tomorrowmorning · 21/01/2026 19:37

Private clinic, charge you an arm and a leg to sub dose from a larger pen and dress it up as bespoke 😂, ffs if you're gonna do it, just lie and do it, these clinics are no more gonna keep you safe, spend 100£, on a 2.5,as opposed to fuck knows how much the Harley street charlatans can squeeze out of you.

Serafee · 21/01/2026 19:45

Oh come on I know loads of people who are not obese who are using it to get super slim. It's really easy to get it from legitimate providers. You just put some extra layers on, knock a couple of inches off your height and stick out your tummy on the photo.

Reading about people on line isn’t knowing them 😂
