Back to Mounjaro

I started Mounjaro in November 2024 and lost 5st over the course of 12 months. I moved to wegovy when the Mounjaro prices went up....wegovy did nothing for me, effects lasted about 24hrs after injecting and that was it!

I've gone back to Mounjaro and starting again on 2.5mg.

I've gone with Numan as they had a good deal on for first two months. Will just have to cut back on some other bits to afford it.

Has anyone had a similar journey? I'm worried Mounjaro won't work now.

Yes, but without the Wegovy bit. Had a break for a couple of months, found weight creeping on and am now back on 2.5g which isn’t touching the sides. Hoping as I progress it will start to kick in again.

ive stayed on mj throughout but have read that for some people coming back to it seemed to have a lessened effect than it used to.
anecdotal but it’s what I’ve read. I’ve also read fewer people that have said they’ve had good results coming back. But then I’ve also seen that some people have thrived on wevovy.
so I guess it’s all a bit of an experiment! I wish you well 💐

Went back after trying wegovy for 2 months on 2.4 or whatever the highest dose of wegovy was at the time. Wegovy had no effects on me so I am now on 7.5 mounjaro. I haven't got full suppression yet but I was on 12.5 before my switch to Wegovy so I am hoping I will get the suppression back eventually or I'll be miffed

What dose were you on first time round and have you started your 2.5 yet? I finished on 10mg in August, tried wegovy 1mg in September but done nothing for me so gave up. Have gained a stone so ordered mounjaro last night just waiting for approval. Last time around I felt the effects straight away on 2.5 but from what I’m reading on here and TikTok that doesn’t seem to happen for many people second time round so I’m guessing it’s going to be a case of waiting patiently this time to work up the doses.

18 months on Mounjaro and lost 5 stone, came off gained over a stone so tried Wegovy. 2 months in and no weight loss. Have ordered Mounjaro today. Fingers crossed!! Hate the food noise and the constant desire to eat.
