Going up and down doses

Has anyone experience of going down and up doses during their weight loss using MJ? I've been on 2.5 and the 5mg each for a three months. I'm still losing weight, slowly as I want to do that, and eating three respectable sized meals a day. I ordered a 7.5 pen before Christmas as I expected to put weight on (which I didn't) and thought I might need to boost my dose. I'm interested to try it, to see what happens, but overall might be happier going back to 5mg after the month, but I'm worried it won't have the same impact after trying the higher dose.

I haven't, but I know my provider tends to say you build tolerance for GLP1 meds so going up might mean when you go back down if feels less effective.

Of course everyone is different, but if I was not struggling to stick to my calorie deficit I wouldn't go up, or increase dose for any medication that was working, just "to try it".

I wouldn’t go up a dose for the sake of trying it, if you are losing weight well on your current dose and not experiencing any side effects. You could do 5mg doses from the 7.5mg pen which then gives you the option to move to 7.5 if you feel the 5mg is no longer working. Or move to 6.25mg before moving to 7.5, instead of going straight up.

If you want to lose weight slowly, increasing your dose and likely having more suppression and feeing fuller longer will mean your weight loss may well be quicker than you want.

If you are still losing (or maintained over Christmas and then begin losing again) then don’t go up for the sake of it. If 5mg works that’s brilliant.

Just take 40 clicks from the 7.5mg pen and get 6 doses without using syringes - 8 if you don’t mind extending the life, keep it cold, strict hygiene and use a syringe for the last bit.

I’d not move doses unless you start to feel it wear off by say day 5 or so. I moved up each month on the manufacturers recommendation till I hit my optimal dose which for me was 10, I have 24/7 suppression, but could eat, got hungry for meals, full after a healthy portion. No food noise. Just in control. I was losing each month, and have never plateaued. I was on ten for several months, hit goal and moved down to 5 slowly and maintained at that level for 10 months now and my weight is v stable.

every journey is individual, but I’d not try it for fun.
