Rybelsus to mounjaro

Has anyone swapped from Rybelsus to mounjaro? I am 2 months into mounjaro (5mg) and havent seen any weight loss. Im wondering if its because I was on Rybelsus before so my body might already be used to this type of medication? Is it going to take a higher dose to do anything? I would love to hear from anyone that has experienced this.

How much did you lose on rybelsus? Are you calorie counting?

2 stone at first, but then stalled, hence trying mounjaro. No, not calorie counting.

Need more information, like what is your diabetes Hba1c like now as Rybelsus is a diabetes med and not for weight loss necessarily. What was your BMI and what is it now?

You probably need to start calorie counting then! No drug should be relied on to do the work for you.

Many of the pharmacies are allowing patients switching from Mounjaro to Wegovy at a higher than the starting dose as they say you can build a tolerance to GLP1 so it is probable for semaglutide to tirzepatide too, although tirzepatide has the additional GIP hormone. For some people without previous GLP1 use they still don’t get any effects until higher doses.

The medication dose doesn’t cause weight loss, a calorie deficit does. Have you calculated your TDEE and are you in calorie deficit?
