New 7.2mg dose

This is such a big dose jump from 2.4mg considering that you have to build up to that point gradually.

According to Asda there aren’t any 7.2mg pens yet so you get 3x2.4mg pens instead.

I am quite tempted to buy them and just continue to use 2.4mg but get 3 months supply for 1.5months cost.

All just seems a bit odd.

Anyone else considering it?

Oushk had a live recently and they said the discussions with Novo Nordisk and the ability for them to prescribe 3 x 2.4mg pens at that price was on the agreement they would only prescribe to patients stable on 2.4mg and not losing and they would monitor patients and feedback to ensure they where prescribing every 4 weeks and patients were not misusing their prescription. So it is likely you will need to consider that if injecting less.

They also tried to explain why it was not a big jump, something about only so many seats in a football stadium (GLP1 receptors) being available but I don’t think it made sense to anyone. They would not support anyone (knowingly) going to 4.8mg first as it was against their agreement with Novo Nordisk.

They said only certain pharmacies were being allowed to work with Novo and patients to prescribe 7.2mg this way early before 7.2mg pens were released, but not sure how true that is.

I've asked Voy if I can go up to 7.2 and am waiting for an actual person to get back to me. I swapped from Mounjaro as side effects were bad but I've been on 2.4mg Wegovy since end September and not lost much (1.5kg). Even their AI bot agreed I'd plateaud. I've still got 12kg to lose with BMI of 28.8.
