Going on holiday!

Hi Im asking what do people do about their pen when going on holiday. Im sure diabetics can take them but not sure if we are allowed (going to Morroco) to take in hand luggage or suitcase. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

How long are you going for?

I just bung mine in hand luggage, in its box, with some needles and wipes, in with the liquids, never been stopped yet, been all over.

I take a pen used or about to be used so it doesn’t need refrigerating.

And never put prescription meds or valuable in the hold, always hand luggage in case it gets lost.

Carry it in your hand luggage. I carry mine in a hard case to keep it safe. I take the box and flatten it and keep it in my bag also as it has the prescription label on it. I have asthma meds too and I do this for all of them.
Never had a problem with them. Nobody has ever asked to look at the prescription and I travel a lot.
You can also carry the needles, wipes etc in your hand luggage. I never pack any essential meds in my suitcase.
It's easiest if it's an already open pen as you don't have to worry about keeping it cold.

Take it as hand luggage. Use a Frio pen wallet that you can buy off Amazon if you want to keep pen cool. Loads of people travel with WLIs.

You can slow adjust the date you inject so you inject just before you go or just miss your usual injection date and inject when you get home.

I wouldn’t take it for a week, I’d either inject early to late to avoid taking it with. So Thurs is my normal day we went Tues to Monday (13 days) I took a dose before we left so 2 days early and then next one when we returned (Monday night). That week I took the next dose on Friday before returning to Thurs week after.
