7.2mg Wegovy dose now available

So the higher 7.2mg Wegovy dose has now been approved and is available in the UK. Does anyone plan on switching to the higher dose? It sounds a big jump from 2.4mg to 7.2mg so I assume there will be some steps in between.

@14HoursToSaveTheEarth there are no steps in between, it’s designed to be a single jump up from 2.4, that was what all the testing/trails were done with a jump straight up. Currently they have not released a 7.2 pen (they are expecting it to come by about July) so are selling 3x2.4 and you take 3 injections in one go, it’s only meant for people who have been taking at 2.4 for some time and struggeling or high dose MJ users who want to move to Wegovy.
Oushk pharmacy did a live last night to explain and they are going to be strict about who they will prescribe to because the cost for 7.2 is cheaper than buying 3 x 2.4 so they don’t want people buying it to save money if they are only needing to take a single jab of 2.4, they will also expect you to order every 4 weeks.
I will be interesting to see what happens next!

Yes, selling it as three 2.4mg pens at a time does sound like a dangerous approach they need to take between now and July that could have people buying a 7.2mg dose, using one pen themselves and then giving or selling the other two to their friends without a prescription.

Still technically possible where people buy a single pen, but not so likely on the assumption that most people want to use at least one dose themselves.
