Wegovy 7.2mg high dose

The 2.4mg is wegovy is water to me. I have read that doses up to 7.2mg may be available soon. Just wondered if any of you had come across this and when it might be possible to buy these pens.

I haven't heard this but interested! High dose of wegovy didn't work for me either. It was a waste of money- had to go back on the mounjaro

Novo Nordisk who make Wegovy apparently submitted approval to the EU body that approves medications in July 2025. It can take 6 months for them to approve. Then Novo Nordisk would submit an application for approval to the UK MHRA which would take 3 to 6 months to approve. Once approved it would take 1 to 2 months for pharmacies to be able to order the higher dose pens to have in stock, assuming Novo have them manufactured by then. So it could be mid 2026 at the earliest I think, probably later than that.

ok thanks. So in the foreseeable future at least. 15mg MJ didn't work for me either so I am pretty insensitive to these drugs.

I just received a message that my provider now has 7.2mg pens available, so I guess the approval came through.

@14HoursToSaveTheEarth it seems that pharmacies have been given the go ahead to supply “7.2mg” as 3 lots of 2.4mg pens, and instruct you to do 3 injections of 2.4mg in one session. The actual 7.2mg pens don’t seem to have been supplied as yet.
