WLI - Mournjaro with Ousch: video consultation

GoneWithTheWind4 · 01/01/2026 12:14

Had the shock of my life when I realised BMI tipped over 30. So decided to book the video consultation for Ousch (friend recommended). The consultation is on Tuesday (5 days away).

If I lose a few pounds before then I’ll be under 30 BMI and not qualify. So, do I start healthy eating now and try and go it without WLI?

Granted I’ve always struggled with losing weight, self motivation, obsessed with food sometimes.

So, I think WLI would be the best option for me. But that means continuing the festive over eating for a few more days.

also, for the weigh in, can I be in clothes that mint add a few pound to keep me over the BMI?

a pint of water is about 1.25lb. Drink a couple before your weigh in and that should do the trick. I’ve not done a video weigh in but sure someone can advise if there are any rules about what you wear.

If your friend is with Oushk they will have done a video call and can tell you what it involves to verify your photo ID, weight and height so they can verify your BMI and eligibility for weight loss medication.

It is expected you will be fully dressed in the video call (I have done them twice and noticed the weight they logged in my health profile is always slightly less than what the scales said), so if you are borderline it will down to individual judgement if they accept you.

If you have any medical issues you will be accepted with a BMI > 27 (high blood pressure for example), or some ethnic groups are eligible from BMI 27.

If you are not eligible you should carefully think about whether you should be taking the risks associated with medicating your weight loss rather than how manipulate the criteria which you must know from your research into taking this step is there for good reasons.

Yes you wear clothes, it’s very quick, they just want to see you, check your ID passport/ driving license type of thing, check your height, which if you don’t have a tape measure they just ask you to stand by a door and then you get on your scales. It takes less than 5 mins.
If you are worried drink lots and don’t pee and ideally have an afternoon appointment, I always weigh more in the afternoon.

I’m very borderline too. Does anyone know how much do they take off for clothes?
